    Capsey c Paul b Kelly 51 (Eng 70-2)

What a catch! Alice Capsey's fun is over.

Capsey tries to thump this one back down the ground for another six, mistimes it and Leah Paul runs around from long off to take a brilliant catch, low down.

Arlene Kelly with the wicket. What a knock from Capsey, though.

50 for Alice Capseypublished at 6 overs

    Eng 69-1

Alice Capsey brings up for half-century from just 21 balls - with a massive six!

What a player she is. The previous two balls were crashed to the boundary and Richardson followed it up with a full toss. No mercy from Capsey as she nails it over the leg side boundary.

Alice Capsey has had more of the strike and is leading the charge. But the only six of the innings so far has come from Danni Wyatt.

She absolutely clobbered Maguire over long on.

  5. 50 runs

    Need another 53 to win

The England fifty comes up with a thick outside edge that runs away quickly. Even when Capsey isn't middling it, she's getting the ball to the boundary!

Heather Knight's side are now exactly halfway to their target - and we've still got an over of the powerplay to bowl.

  7. Eng 48-1published at 4.3 overs

    Target 106

The boundaries keep coming for Alice Capsey. A filthy leg-stump full toss from Kelly is slapped away behind square.

That ball got exactly what it deserved.

Alice Capsey has been a little fortunate here, twice she has hit the ball close to fielders and twice she had ended up with four.

  9. Eng 43-1published at 4 overs

In a word: no. England continue to charge to victory, although Ireland have not helped themselves in this over.

Three boundaries on the trot from Capsey to finish it but the first two were thanks to fielding errors.

A reverse sweep hung in the air before bouncing just in front of short third, sneaking past the fielder and trickling to the fence. The next was hoicked to deep mid-wicket, bounced safely but up and through the hands of the fielder.

The less said about that one, the better for Ireland.

Just as England did after an expensive first couple of overs, Ireland turn to spin. Eimear Richardson is into the attack.

Can the off-spinner slow England's race to the finish line?

It was only a couple of overs ago but Orla Prendergast's wicket in the first over of the England innings already feels like it was a while ago.

Sophia Dunkley was the batter to depart.

The delivery wasn't that short but my word, what timing from Danni Wyatt.

  13. Eng 29-1published at 3 overs

    Target 106

Another short ball from Prendergast is pulled away, it's Wyatt this time and she absolutely nails it.

The ball goes squarer on this occasion but the result is the same: four runs.

  14. Eng 24-1published at 2.1 overs

    Wyatt 7, Capsey 13

Short from Prendergast, the ball doesn't get up quite as much as Capsey expects but she adjusts smartly to swat it away through mid-wicket for another boundary.

I told you England wouldn't hold back...

  15. 6 runs

Smashed! England have quickly put that early wicket behind them as Danni Wyatt launches Maguire high over wide long on for the first six of the innings.

Alex Capsey has played that so well. She likes to use her feet in the powerplay but there she was waited to the last minute and played it right in front of her eyes.

She is a very, very good player.

  17. Eng 13-1published at 1.4 overs

    Target 106

That is a very classy shot from Alice Capsey. A very full ball from Jane Maguire but Capsey not only manages to dig it out but middle it through extra cover for four.

Four more! Off the back foot this time, back down the ground and timed superbly again. The England teenager is quickly into her work.

  18. Eng 4-1published at 1 over

    Target 106

Alice Capsey, another of the WPL recruits, is in at number three. She sees off the last ball of a good opening over from Prendergast.

Early wickets for Ireland could make this chase interesting.

    Dunkley c Kelly b Prendergast 4 (Eng 4-1)

Orla Prendergast makes the early breakthrough!

Sophia Dunkley, who is one of seven England players snapped up in the WPL auction so far, slapped the previous ball for four, tries to go over mid-on but chips it straight to Arlene Kelly.
