Lancashire 278-9 v Surrey 442
What a game Sean Abbott is having!
The Australia all-rounder finally removes Will Williams for 30 with his first ball of the morning.
That is 5-42 for Abbott to go with 42 with the bat at number nine and two catches.
He has never played Test cricket, but if he keeps playing like this, will Australia consider him for a place in their Ashes squad?
Lancashire 278-8 v Surrey 442
When you stick around for as long as Will Williams has done, you make your own luck.
Kemar Roach finds the extra pace and bounce to take the edge, but it flies through a vacant third slip area for four.
The partnership between these two Kiwis is now worth 81.
Kent 222 v Northamptonshire 117 & 71-2
Northants are making steady progress as they close in on Kent's first innings total.
Hasan Azad is on 33 and skipper Luke Procter 17, with their side now trailing by 34.
Lancashire 268-8 v Surrey 442
Colin de Grandhomme nudges a single off Dan Worrall to bring up a half century on his Lancashire debut.
From 70 balls, he has stopped Surrey running through the hosts and may have made up Rory Burns' mind about whether to enforce the follow-on.
Middlesex 170 v Essex 266 & 34-0
Image source, Rex FeaturesA good start for Alastair Cook (16*) and Nick Browne (18*) at Lord's.
The duo have moved Essex on to 34 without loss at the beginning of their second innings.
Both sides first innings were neatly completed within two days and Essex are looking to push on this morning.
Hampshire 231 v Nottinghamshire 185 & 163-9
A third wicket in 35 minutes for Mo Abbas!
Dane Paterson does not hang around, but he is beaten by some fine bowling from the Pakistan man as he nicks behind.
Luke Fletcher arrives at the crease with Notts leading by just 117.
Hampshire 231 v Nottinghamshire 185 & 162-8
Dane Paterson has come out swinging!
The South Africa bowler has hit a couple of welcome fours. He may not stick around but he could add some very welcome runs for Notts to bowl at later.
They lead by 116 runs.
Lancashire 257-8 v Surrey 442
Lancashire number 10 Will Williams brings up his 100 - 100 balls faced!
As tail-enders go, Williams is a useful one to have. His technique is sound and he places a value on his wicket.
And he has helped Colin de Grandhomme at least grab a batting point for Lancashire.
Durham 376, Sussex 335
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio Newcastle
There's really not much to choose from between the two teams so far, but I would imagine Durham will come out and play some more attacking cricket, just like they did on day one.
The majority of their 376 was scored in just two sessions.
You've got to feel for George Garton too. Having missed so much cricket through illness in the last two years, he can't play any more part in this game. He was hit on the head while batting yesterday and has been removed from the game due to concussion protocols.
England fast bowler Matty Potts was the man who caught him on the head. At the time it looked like a glancing blow, but it was obviously worse than first appeared. He's been replaced by Fynn Hudson-Prentice.
Glamorgan 404 v Glos 165
Tom Price strikes again for his second of the morning, and fourth of the innings, to have Glamorgan last man Harry Podmore caught for three.
Glamorgan just managed to pick up their fourth batting bonus point before Podmore departed.
We said Glos needed to collect those two remaining wickets quickly and they've done just that.
Now it's over to the batters to start eating into the deficit of 239 runs.
Siddle lbw b Hannon-Dalby 10
Oliver Hannon-Dalby finishes off the Somerset innings by trapping Peter Siddle leg before.
The Aussie quick did manage a few lusty blows, including two boundaries, to reach double figures before OHD did the job - his third scalp of the innings.
Following the winter return of England's Dom Sibley to Surrey, Warwickshire's new opening pair combo of Rob Yates and Alex Davies get padded up.
Hampshire 231 v Nottinghamshire 185 & 151-8
This has been good from Hampshire this morning.
Lovely delivery from Mohammad Abbas. A bit of shape away from Olly Stone and the off-stump is out of the ground.
Abbas and Kyle Abbott are turning the screw on the Notts lower order.
Somerset 271-9 v Warwickshire
Early strike for new Warwickshire signing Chris Rushworth at Taunton. His 600th first-class wicket in county cricket - 598 for Durham. And now two for the Bears.
A fourth slip catch of the innings for Rob Yates to get rid of home skipper Lewis Gregory without adding to his overnight score of 65.
In this Ashes summer, some probably rare Anglo-Australian co-operation as last man Peter Siddle strides out to join Jack Leach, who looks well set, having already added nine to his overnight score.
Maximum bowling points now for the Bears.
Sussex 335 all out v Durham 376
Sussex add three runs to their overnight score before Henry Crocombe is bowled by Ben Raine.
Nathan McAndrew is left unbeaten on 38 as Durham take a halfway lead of 41 runs.
Glamorgan 398-9 v Glos 165
Glamorgan add ten to their overnight total before Tom Price sweeps in to remove James Harris for four.
Glos needed that and the sooner they can take the final Glamorgan wicket the greater their chances of getting something out of this.
The lead is now 235.
Lancashire 251-8 v Surrey 442
Lancashire scramble a couple of singles to bring up their 250 and secure a first batting point.
We have had the three overs we needed and Kemar Roach has his jumper off ready to take the new ball.
Lancashire 247-8 v Surrey 442
Surrey start with the part-time leg-spin of Dom Sibley and it almost strikes gold from the third ball.
Colin de Grandhomme tries to help himself to six over midwicket but Ryan Patel is stationed for a catch.
He takes it but can't hang on as he goes over the ropes and as he throw the ball back, it lands and rolls onto the rope for a four.
Next ball, de Grandhomme makes no mistake as he connects properly and sends it well over Patel's head for a six.
14 off an interesting opening over to bring up the 50 partnership between him and Will Williams.
Hampshire 231 v Nottinghamshire 185 & 146-7
Perfect for Hampshire. Terrible for Notts.
Mohammad Abbas is on the money straight away this morning. Five dot balls and then on the sixth, he induces a nick behind from Tom Moores.
The lead is still only 100 with only three wickets left now.
Image source, Rex FeaturesChampions Surrey had a dream second day at Old Trafford. Cameron Steel's 141 not out helped them to 442 before four wickets from Sean Abbott left Lancashire in a heap of trouble at 233-8.
Lancashire are 60 runs short of the follow-on so Surrey skipper Rory Burns may have a decision to make this morning.
The game at the Ageas Bowl looks set for an exciting conclusion as Nottinghamshire resume their second innings on 146-6, a lead of exactly 100 over Hampshire.
It would be a huge surprise if that match is not settled one way or another, today.
Kent are in a very strong position as they have Northamptonshire 47-2 in their second knock, still trailing by 58 runs.
Zak Crawley's 91 in their 222, in the context of this match, could turn out to be a decisive knock.
Who knows what to expect at Lord's where Essex resume with a lead of 96 runs at halfway thanks to a Dan Lawrence ton in a score of 266.
At 4-4, it could have been a whole lot worse for Middlesex before half-centuries from John Simpson and Ryan Higgins got them to 170.
At Taunton, things are a bit behind after the first day was washed out between Somerset and Warwickshire.
Lewis Gregory led a fightback for the home side from 136-7 to end on 269-8 as he starts again on 65.
