Lawrence lbw b Bailey 15 (Essex 61-3 v Lancs, target 340)
A big breakthrough for Lancashire just after tea!
Tom Bailey pins Dan Lawrence lbw, and Essex are three down.
Surrey 110-1 v Hampshire, target 243
Ollie Pope survives a couple of scares to start a Kyle Abbott over but responds in perfect fashion, skipping down the track and driving supremely back past the bowler for four.
Nine off the over and the asking rate is down to 3.8 an over from now on.
Compton c Yates b Rushworth 88 (Warwickshire v Kent 199-8, trailing by 96 following-on
The big wicket. Ben Compton is out in the first over after tea. Punching off the back foot and nicking straight to Rob Yates for a simple catch at first slip. His first misjudgement of a long stint.
Warwickshire fans won't want any more drama, but there is rain in the air in Birmingham.
Conor McKerr is the new man, he survives a big shout straight away. Bump ball, the umpires decide.
Worcs 101-5 need another 213 to beat Durham

Ben Raine has donned the Superman cape today and pulled off three fantastic diving catches to see off Ed Pollock for two, Azhar Ali for 33 and Jack Haynes for 40.
Pollock mistimed a drive from Paul Coughlin and lobbed a ball towards mid-on which Raine should have got nowhere near. But the next two catches were at long leg from sweep shots off Australian spinner Matt Kuhnemann.
Kuhnemann also bowled Gareth Roderick for two, to take three for 14 in five overs.
Durham now have another 38 overs after tea to try and claim the final five wickets for a win. Worcestershire may be about to drop anchor and look for the draw.
Essex 60-2 v Lancs, target 340
Dan Lawrence is unbeaten on 15
Tom Westley and Dan Lawrence go to tea having blunted Lancashire's bowling well on a pitch that is started to go up and down.
Lancashire need a big push to find the eight wickets needed for victory, but Essex's application and attitude in the past hour makes a draw the firm favourite.
Surrey 98-1 v Hampshire, target 243
Surrey need 145 to win in 37 overs with nine wickets in hand.
As well as Hampshire have bowled to restict their scoring, the hosts have always remained in touch and in the final 20 minutes before tea brought the asking rate back under four an over.
Dom Sibley is unbeaten on 36 and Ollie Pope has cruised to 22 not out.
The hosts have to fancy their chances, but a couple of quick wickets after tea and who knows. Don't go anywhere!
Durham v Worcs 101-5, target 314
No further damage for Worcestershire before the interval, but Durham are firm favourites now.
Warwickshire v Kent 195-7, trailing by 100 following-on
Ben Compton is 84 not out and Joey Evison unbeaten on 54 at tea.
These two have put on 96 for the eighth wicket and have brought the visitors within 100.
It may yet all be for nought, Warwickshire still have 38 overs to find the three wickets they require for an innings victory.
Can Chris Woakes and Warwickshire find the final three wickets in the final session of the match.
Roderick b Kuhnemann 2 (Durham v Worcs 93-5, target 314)
Drift and turn - brilliant bowling.
Matt Kuhnemann gets one to grip, beats the groping outside edge of Gareth Roderick's bat, and it flicks the top of off-stump.
A massive bonus for Durham on the stroke of tea.
Essex 58-2 v Lancs, target 340
Tom Hartley is into the attack with his left-arm spin, as Lancashire seek to break this stubborn third wicket partnership.
Tom Westley has 25 from 76 balls, while Dan Lawrence is being slightly less obstinate at the other end - he has 15 from 33.
Surrey 92-1 v Hampshire, target 243
Another eight runs off a Mohammad Abbas over, courtesy of two fours from Dom Sibley, the first of those being particularly streaky.
Ollie Pope dispatches Ian Holland to the fence to begin the next over and just like that, it feels like Surrey are back in the driving seat.
Seven minutes of cricket has disbanded the cloud of pressure and expectation which was beginning to gather.
Liam Dawson comes into the attack before tea to keep them earnest.
Warwickshire v Kent 190-7, trailing by 105 following-on
Joey Evison made a seven ball duck yesterday afternoon and looked disconsolate as he trudged off.
Fast-forward nearly 24 hours and the 21-year-old all-rounder brings up his first Kent half-century in first-class cricket from 72 balls.
His stay has been highlighted by some classy strokes, including the straight drive for four, his ninth boundary, which took him to the milestone.
Just how significant this contribution will prove, we will only discover in the next couple of hours.
Haynes c Raine b Kuhnemann 40 (Durham v Worcs 91-4, target 314)
Jack Haynes, who has looked the best of the Worcestershire batters, falls attempting to sweep Matt Kuhnemann.
A big top-edge, and Ben Raine takes a superb catch diving forwards on the boundary.
Surrey 79-1 v Hampshire, target 243
Seven off the last over from Mohammad Abass, with Ollie Pope finding the ropes, and that's exactly what the hosts need a few more of.
164 runs still required and 40 overs left to do it.
Interesting sub-plot is that Pope is scoreless from 11 deliveries from Ian Holland.
Warwickshire v Kent 180-7, trailing by 115
Joey Evison moves to 46 after carving Ed Barnard to the ropes at third and then cutting him through point for another four.
He and Ben Compton have added 34 runs from the last six overs.
43 overs remain today. The deficit is down to 115.
They say hope is the worst thing you can give someone...
Warwickshire v Kent 165-7, trailing by 130 following-on
Ben Compton and Joey Evison's partnership has passed 15 overs and added 66 runs which makes it Kent's longest and most productive of either innings. That tells the story.
The right-arm spin of Rob Yates has been introduced to give them something else to think about.
Half an hour until tea. How Kent will desperately hope these two remain together until the interval.
Notts (256 & 211) beat Somerset (173 & 129) by 165 runs
Five wickets for Dane Paterson as he gets last man Peter Siddle and a comfortable victory for Notts at Trent Bridge.
Nottinghamshire's pacemen have done the business and Somerset's batters had few answers.
Brett Hutton finishes with nine wickets in the match.
Burns c Vince b Abbott 35 (Surrey 54-1, target 243)
Great catch from James Vince, diving to his right at first slip, and Rory Burns has gone.
Kyle Abbott gets his man. He bowls in a straight one and Burns is caught in two minds whether to cut or pull across himself. He does neither, nicking to Vince.
The required run rate has crept above four an over. Just going to leave that fact there.
Ollie Pope comes in at three. How often has he been the Surrey matchwinner!?
Warwickshire v Kent 150-7, trailing by 145
Ben Compton guides an overpitched one from Chris Ruthworth through the covers and the 150 is up. The deficit is under 150. The numbers that really matter are seven wickets down and the 48 overs remaining, however.
Leach c James b Paterson 11 (Notts v Somerset 115-9, target 295)
Notts are nearly there now!
A slower-ball bouncer from Dane Paterson, which Jack Leach tries to cut over point, but the England left-hander can only spoon a simple catch to Lyndon James.
Paterson needs the final wicket for his five-fer... can Peter Siddle keep the South African seamer out?
