  3. Can I have my ball back?published at 14:44 British Summer Time 13 May 2023

    Kent 95 v Hampshire 237-5

There's a break in play as they search for the ball.

Ian Holland launches Joey Evison for a six into a nearby back garden.

A ball is found, but it appears it's not the same one. The umpires come up with a replacement ball of a similar age.

Only nine overs to the new ball.

  4. 50 runs

for Daryl Mitchellpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 13 May 2023

    Lancashire 210-6 v Somerset 361

Not a bad way to mark your debut.

Daryl Mitchell works Kasey Aldridge to the rope to bring up his 31st first-class fifty, taken from a patient 106 balls.

It’s not been plain sailing for the New Zealand international under the blue skies of Old Trafford, but he adds a half-century to his three wickets taken in the Somerset innings.

Mitchell averages over 40 in first-class cricket, but mind you, he averages 57 on the Test stage.

A handy man to come in at number six.

  5. 200 runs

up for Lancashirepublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 13 May 2023

    Lancashire 204-6 v Somerset 361

Lancashire continue to chip away at the Somerset first innings total.

Daryl Mitchell clips a single off Casey Aldridge to bring up the 200, and with the very next ball, George Bell then helps himself to a fourth boundary.

    Gorgeous shot!

George Bell has taken two fours and 10 runs off Kasey Aldridge's 12th over, the first a beautiful drive through the covers.

Still plenty of time to try and get a third batting point too.

    Kent 95 v Hampshire 222-5

It has looked much more comfortable for the Hampshire batters after lunch.

But Holland has now moved on to 28 and Dawson is unbeaten on 24.

Kent turn to spin and Hamidullah Qadri.

  13. Will we get a finish on day three?published at 14:20 British Summer Time 13 May 2023

Yorkshire 218 all out. Durham need 246

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

There are 61 overs left in Chester-le-Street on day three and Durham need 246 to beat Yorkshire.

So there's plenty of time for this one to finish today, one way or another.

Equally batting has not been easy. We have only seen one half-century in 30 innings so far and despite the sunshine the ball is seaming around. The low bounce is also an issue for the batters.

Matty Potts took 4-61 to finish with eight wickets in the game. Ben Raine took 4-36 to take seven in the match. Durham managed to bowl the visitors out despite the loss of fast bowler Brydon Carse to a side injury.

    Durham 227 v Yorkshire 254 & 218

Ben Raine pins Yorkshire number 11 Mickey Edwards lbw and that's their second innings done at Chester-le-Street.

Durham will need a tough 246 for victory.

  17. 200 runs

up for Hampshirepublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 13 May 2023

    Kent 95 v Hampshire 204-5

Kent need a breakthrough and soon.

Liam Dawson (20) and Ian Holland (20) have taken their sixth-wicket stand up to 45 runs and the lead up to 108.

  18. Still help for the bowlerspublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 13 May 2023

    Warwickshire 1-0 (target 100) v Essex

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

Essex's bold approach this morning probably hasn't been enough to turn the game.

They hit 16 fours and two sixes in scoring 129 runs but ran out of wickets by lunch. Losing three in four overs proved a crucial blow.

There's still help for the bowlers on the pitch. Chris Rushworth and Hasan Ali took advantage to claim four wickets apiece to leave the Bears chasing a round hundred for a third win of the season.

  19. GLAMORGAN BEAT WORCESTERSHIREpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 13 May 2023
    Breaking

    Glamorgan (258 & 82-0) beat Worcs (109 & 227) by 10 wickets

Glamorgan chase down their target of 79 without losing a wicket as Eddie Byrom (51) and David Lloyd (30) see them home in 20 overs.

Worcestershire were never in the game after being bowled out for 109 in their first innings.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 13 May 2023

    Vilas lbw b Henry 15 (Lancashire 176-7 v Somerset 361)

An early breakthrough after the interval for Somerset.

An extra yard of pace from Matt Henry, cutting back in, catches out Dane Vilas and the right-hander is trapped leg before.

It looked a little high, but it's given and George Bell is next man in.

Lancashire are in a bit of a hole.
