    Surrey 210-4 v Middlesex 209

    It's been a far from straightforward start to day three for Surrey with the ball nipping around and Ben Foakes falling early.

    Will Jacks has tried to hit his way out of this funk.

    He was fortunate to loft Ethan Bamber just over the head of mid-off.

    Then he missed with an attempted paddle sweep.

    But he finally nails one, taking Bamber up and over mid-on and all the way for six.

    Weatherley lbw b Agar 58 (Kent 95 v Hampshire 138-3)

    A third wicket of the morning for Aussie paceman Wes Agar.

    He gets one to nip back a smidge and wraps Joe Weatherley on the pad.

    Weatherley's not happy and trudges back to the hutch, but it looked a good shout.

    That's 3-13 for Agar this morning and Kent have a little hope.

  3. Lancashire 106-4 v Somerset 361

    An intriguing battle between Daryl Mitchell and his Kiwi team-mate Matt Henry.

    The paceman finds the edge of Mitchell's bat but it drops just short of Craig Overton at second slip.

    Jonny Bairstow has been very watchful this morning for Yorkshire but that's glorious. The England batter plays a back-foot punch through the covers off Matt Potts to move to 31.

    Yorkshire are 130-3 and lead Durham by 157.

    Sussex continue to motor at Leicestershire - they're 365-4 with Tom Alsop on 147.

    Glamorgan are closing in on victory against Worcestershire. Timm van der Gugten has just picked up his fifth wicket to leave the visitors 208-9 and only leading by 59.

    Derbyshire have made a solid start on day three against Gloucestershire. They're 158-5 with opener Harry Came unbeaten on 71.

    Six balls later and Warwickshire remove the other overnight batsmen.

    Chris Rushworth nips a full ball back into Michael Pepper's big front pad and it looks an easy decision.

    A streaky way to do it, but George Balderson brings up a third half-century in his last five innings stretching back to the end of last season.

    It’s taken him 111 balls, with five boundaries, and it’s just what the Red Rose need.

    It's not the most convincing stroke, but England fans know what Mitchell can do when he gets settled.

    A big swing of a drive aimed at Tom Taylor by Lyndon James and he edges to first slip.

    Bright start for Essex at Edgbaston.

    Matt Critchley has sweetly square-driven Hasan Ali for four and Michael Pepper has cut then edged Chris Rushworth for boundaries.

    It's not a great ball from Craig Overton, angling down leg.

    Essex trying to fight to stay in this game.

    They badly need a partnership and will hope Matt Critchley, 16 not out, and Michael Pepper, 5, can provide it.

    They still trail and Warwickshire are sniffing a big win inside three days.

    A beautiful ball which straightens up and takes out Nick Gubbins' off pole.

    After resuming on 103-0, Hants have lost two for eight runs this morning.

    Kent have a badly-needed breakthrough early on day three.

    Steven Croft is under way, but was almost on his way back to the pavilion.

    He takes a frantic single from the final ball of Craig Overton's first over and a direct hit would have done for him. Edgy.

    After dismantling Northants with an outrageous collapse of 7-17 yesterday, Notts have the chance to take full control of the game today.

    Batting wasn't easy yesterday evening but they arrive on day three in good shape.
