Run rate: 6.6
You may have seen Zak Crawley has said Ronnie O'Sullivan is one of his heroes. I must be honest I didn't see that one coming. Ronnie can hit a 147 in a little over five minutes so I imagine he loves this England style.
10 more runs come in this latest over from Mark Adair, including a slightly edgy four from Crawley.

It's looking ominous for Ireland already.
Crawley 6, Duckett 16
Ben Duckett creams one through the off side now as Graham Hume goes too full. It's a one-day stroke from the Nottinghamshire left-hander.
He has four boundaries in his first 15 balls.
England have their trademark quick start...

It's a tricky position for Ireland because you don't want to go defensive too early with your field, but how long can you keep conceding two boundaries an over?

I don't want to go too early but this is already look ominous for Ireland. Ben Duckett has all of the time in the world as he stands tall to dismissively crack Mark Adair twice through mid-wicket.

England will want to send a positive message in their first innings of the summer. I can see them trying to go at five or six an over here.
But you have always got to respect good bowling, and they will play each delivery on its merit.

Ben Duckett also opens his account with a boundary, flicking the stocky seamer Hume off his pads. 31-year-old Hume was born in Johannesburg but qualified for Ireland in 2022 through residency.
Conditions couldn't be better for batting right now with Lord's bathed in afternoon sunshine.

Ireland need early wickets. They've not got a huge score on the board but they have got to back themselves to get a couple out cheaply here.
Crawley defends Adair's gentle pace throughout the rest of the over.
Graham Hume will share the new ball.

You need to be bowling fuller than that in the first few overs. It's an easy shot for Zak Crawley, it was asking to be hit.
Not a bad start!
It may be a long hop from Mark Adair but Zak Crawley puts it away.
Zak Crawley comes marching down the Lord's steps before waiting for his batting partner Ben Duckett by the boundary rope.
The camera follows Crawley to the middle which tells you who the pressure is on.
Crawley has done a bit of talking before this Test. Can he get some runs to quieten the debate?
After Broad took his fifth wicket, the last two went in a flash...
There are still, theoretically, 31 overs left in the day.
If England bat at the rate they did in Pakistan they could be leading tonight.
Sir Alastair Cook
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
Stuart Broad bowled beautifully. He had the conditions in his favour but you have still got to perform and he hit that full length from the start, challenging the outside edge and drawing those edges.
We knew he would stand up in James Anderson's absence but he led the attack brilliantly.
Hand c Bairstow b Potts 1 (Ire 172 all out)
And that is that! The final wicket goes in low-key fashion as Fionn Hand gets an inside edge to Matthew Potts. Jonny Bairstow dives low to his left to take a smart catch on his return.
Ireland are 172 all out. Broad leaves the field with five wickets to his name, Jack Leach three and Matthew Potts two.
This wasn't a bad way to seal your five-wicket haul...
Graham Hume is Ireland's number 11 - a rare left-hander in their order. Leach darts his final ball in, attempting an lbw but Hume gets his bat down on it.
