  1. Division Two round-uppublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

Yorkshire have declared on 550-9 at Headingley against Gloucestershire after an innings of three young home centurions, 21-year-old Fin Bean (114), 22-year-old George Hill (101) and 21-year-old Matthew Revis (104).

Derbyshire duo Wayne Madsen and Leus Du Plooy are going well at New Road on 229-3, having all but wiped out the Worcestershire day-one first-innings score of 237.

Leicestershire opener Sol Budinger hit 51 as his side respond well to the Durham total of 517-6 declared.

    Somerset 163 & 115-2 v Nottinghamshire 186

Steven Mullaney comes into the Notts attack for his first bowl of the match as the skipper looks to break the partnership.

The third-wicket stand of 72 from George Bartlett (33) and Tom Lammonby (51) is now the biggest partnership of the match, eclipsing the 71 runs of Ben Slater and Matt Montgomery for the visitors.

And the Somerset lead is up to 92 - very handy in the context of this match.

  3. wicket

WICKET Denly c Whiteman b Russell 6published at 14:50 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Northants 237 v Kent 349-3

Now then. Joe Denly has holed out off the spinner one ball before the new ball is taken. He's swiped a googly down the throat of Sam Whiteman at deep backward square leg. A second for Russell. Kent lead by 112, but...

Skipper Jack Leaning joins Daniel Bell-Drummond.

  4. 150 runs

for Daniel Bell-Drummondpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Northants 237 v Kent 349-2

Bell-Drummond was six inches away from bringing up the milestone with his 15th four but Jack White was able to haul the ball in at the deep mid-wicket rope but Bell-Drummond comes back for three to move to 150 from 248 balls.

  5. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Lancashire 274, Surrey 317-9

Lancashire miss a chance as Tom Bailey puts down Sean Abbott off young spinner Jack Morley, reverse sweeping to square leg.

Abbott then rubs it in by hitting the next ball off the young spinner for six.

The Surrey lead is up to 43 - and this stand is worth 87.

  6. 50 runs

for Tom Lammonbypublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Somerset 163 & 112-2 v Nottinghamshire 186

This could be a vital knock.

Lammonby takes a single off Brett Hutton and becomes just the second batter to reach fifty in the match after Notts opener Ben Slater.

Hutton will be sweating a little having shelled a slips catch off Jake Ball when the Somerset opener was on six.

    He's looking increasingly assured.

  7. Postpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Northants 237 v Kent 339-2

Joe Denly cracks Ben Sanderson away for a couple to take the Kent lead into three figures, with eight wickets in hand.

Northants have three overs to wait until they can claim the new ball.

  8. 50 runs

Half-century for Sean Abbottpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Lancashire 274, Surrey 305-9

Sean Abbott completes his third half-century of the summer as the Surrey last-wicket stand continues to flourish.

Not only are they well into the lead now, Abbott and fellow Aussie Dan Worrall have earned Surrey a third batttng point.

  9. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Hampshire 419 v Middlesex 0-0

Keith Barker is thrown the new ball as Middlesex begin their reply and cor blimey, that's moving.

The clouds have gathered over the Ageas and Mark Stoneman's heart rate is surely in the fat-burning zone after seeing his outside edge flirting with that shiny Kookaburra more than once.

Sam Robson will be joining him soon I'm sure. Mohammad Abbas gets the cherry at the other end.

  10. wicket

WICKET Muyeye c White b Russell 179published at 14:32 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Northants 237 v Kent 335-2

Tawanda Muyeye had pulled Alex Russell over square leg for six but two balls later he's slapped the flighted follow-up from Russell to Jack White who takes a high catch at cover.

That's Alex Russell's maiden first-class wicket. Muyeye's coming of age knock is at an end. It's imperative that you seek out the highlights later, you'll not regret it. Muyeye is going to go far.

The partnership is broken for 318. Joe Denly comes out to join Daniel Bell-Drummond.

  11. wicket

WICKET Bethell c Buttleman b Harmer 37published at 14:32 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Essex 457 v Warwickshire 85-3

    It's been coming.

Simon Harmer has been enjoying himself this afternoon and finally has a wicket after several near-misses.

Jacob Bethell goes back to cut the South African spinner but feathers an edge behind to Will Buttleman who takes a good catch. Tidy work.

It ends a 67-run stand with Will Rhodes. The Bears are in a bit of trouble here and trail by 372.

  12. 100 runs

up for Somersetpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Somerset 163 & 100-2 v Nottinghamshire 186

This is becoming a handy partnership between George Bartlett (27) and Tom Lammonby (42).

A single from Bartlett brings up the fifty partnership before an increasingly comfortable Lammonby unfurls a textbook on drive past Brett Hutton to the boundary. A thing of beauty.

Three more singles then bring up three figures for Somerset - the lead is 77.

It's only the second fifty-run stand of the match.

  13. Postpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Northants 237 v Kent 329-1

Is this a touch of movement for Ben Sanderson with the old ball? A couple of strangled cries after Daniel Bell-Drummond is thumped on the pads, but he'd hit it first.

Bell-Drummond then dabs Alex Russell away for a single to bring up the 300 partnership for the second wicket. He has 144 from 236 balls while Tawanda Muyeye has moved on to 173 from 202 balls.

    The Kent lead is 92.

  14. Surrey last pair make haypublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Lancashire 274, Surrey 284-9

Surrey last pair Sean Abbott and Dan Worrall are getting stuck in - and the Lancs lead is wiped out.

Two sixes each for the two Aussies as the poor defenceless Kookaburra disappears to all parts.

Two fours and two sixes off the same Daryl Mitchell over as their half-century stand comes up inside six overs.

Abbott on 41 and Worrall is on 25. And Surrey now lead by 10 runs.

  15. wicket

WICKET Organ c Holden b De Caires 40published at 14:23 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Hampshire 419 v Middlesex

7-144 from 47.3 overs. What an effort. At what point do we start calling Michael Atherton Josh De Caires' dad?

Felix Organ goes big, but not big enough, picking out Max Holden at deep mid-wicket to go for 40. Hampshire are 419 all-out. Middlesex can get some rest after nearly 140 overs in the dirt.

  16. Essex on top at Chelmsfordpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Essex 457 v Warwickshire 66-2

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

Two batters with different levels of experience are facing a stern test at Chelmsford.

Simon Harmer is causing problems and turning the ball, and with Essex having so many runs to play with we can expect him to bowl all day.

Warwickshire captain Will Rhodes is trying to build a partnership with Jacob Bethell who's playing in only his seventh first-class match.

Despite his lack of games Essex have clearly done their homework on the former Rugby School pupil.

They have tempted him with some short deliveries.

  17. Postpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Somerset 163 & 82-2 v Nottinghamshire 186

Brett Hutton replaces Dane Paterson and almost snares his sixth wicket of the match with his first ball after lunch.

Hutton gets one to nip back into the pads of George Bartlett and he lets loose a loud appeal.

It looked close, but nothing doing.

Somerset have eased to a 59-run lead, but it remains precarious.

  18. Postpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Hampshire 419-9 v Middlesex

Felix Organ reverse sweep's Josh De Caires to move to 39 from 51 balls - his best return of the season.

He is on strike after almost comedically sending Mo Abbas back off the last ball of the previous over, which the former Pakistan bowler dabbed almost to the rope at third. Can't be too careful, eh Felix. Might have ended up running three.

  19. 300 runs

up for Kentpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Northants 237 v Kent 304-1

Another batting bonus point. More than 39 overs remaining for them to seek out some more too.

Northants have an agonising nine-over wait for the new ball.

  20. 50 runs

for Warwickshirepublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Essex 457 v Warwickshire 58-2

Jake Bethell pulls Doug Bracewell to the boundary to bring up the fifty for the Bears.

He top edges the next ball for a rather streaky four and then repeats the trick with the next.

After a slightly turbulent spell, Bethell is suddenly on 19.
