    Hampshire 402-9 v Middlesex

Six wickets for Josh De Caires. He's bowled 46 overs and deserves his success. His average was 160 before this match. That'll be coming down.

Kyle Abbott aggressively tries to smash him back over his head but edges to Ryan Higgins at slip.

Mohammad Abbas comes in to join Felix Organ. Might Middlesex be out of the dirt soon?

Tom Lawes is trapped very adjacent by Will Williams.

Last man Dan Worrall comes in needing 12 more to reach 1,000 first-class career runs, BBC Radio London's Mark Church tells us.

"If he makes it today, it won't take very long," he says.

  5. wicket

WICKET Fuller st Simpson b Hollman 40published at 13:55 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Hampshire 399-8 v Middlesex

James Fuller and Felix Organ have just put on 50 in 74 balls but Fuller has gone, striding down the pitch to attack Luke Hollman but missing the ball allowing John Simpson to smartly whip off the bails.

Fuller made 40 from 55 balls but taps the stumps in frustration as he heads off. Organ is 22 not out from 38 and is joined by Kyle Abbott.

The South Group leaders have already booked their quarter-final spot.

  12. Lunch in Leicesterpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Durham 517-6 dec, Leics 41-0

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

When Durham coach Ryan Campbell joined us on air yesterday, he said his side was going to be attacking and positive. He couldn't see the point in batting on and scoring 630, as they did in the last game against Glamorgan.

That was their highest total of the season but it ended in a draw. Today's declaration on 517-6 gave Durham a good half hour to bowl at Leicestershire before lunch. But, after nine overs, Rishi Patel, ranked third in the batting list in Division Two is already on 21, with Sol Budinger on 20.

The Durham innings included a career-best 167 not out for Ollie Robinson, who is now the leading run-maker in the division. He put on 227 for the fifth wicket with Graham Clark, who was run out on 92.

He also added 69 in less than 10 overs with Liam Trevaskis, whose departure on 28, brought about the declaration.

  13. Lunch at Chelmsfordpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Essex 457 v Warwickshire 28-2

    Don Topley
    BBC Essex

    Without doubt Essex's morning.

Will Buttleman and Dougie Bracewell batted positively in allowing Essex to secure an important fifth batting point before being all out for 457.

They then removed both Warwickshire openers, Rob Yates brilliantly caught by SImon Harmer at second slip off Jamie Porter for 5, then Sam Cook got Alex Davies to inside edge back on to his stumps.

  14. Lunch at Southamptonpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Hampshire 383-7 v Middlesex

Hampshire have added 99 runs this morning and though they celebrated Nick Gubbins (120) joining Liam Dawson (141) in three figures, they were both among the three wickets they have lost, with Josh De Caires collecting his maiden five-fer. He'd only taken one wicket before this innings.

James Fuller and Felix Organ will have their sights set on hauling Hampshire well past 400 after lunch.

  15. Lunch at The Ovalpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Lancashire 274, Surrey 215-7

That dramatic Daryl Mitchell over proves to be the last one before lunch.

And Lancashire should now have more of an appetite after those two quick pre-prandial poaches.

Surrey still trail Lancashire by 59 runs with three wickets remaining as they head off to tuck into their carbs and energy drinks.

  16. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Northants 237, Kent 264-1

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

A perfect morning for Kent who have bossed this game so far.

A maiden first-class ton for the highly talented Tawanda Muyeye, who went to 99 with a six before gleefully celebrating his century shortly after. He's played some typically exquisite shots, picking up length so quickly.

How many batters have scored back-to-back centuries in the space of a few days in T20 and then first-class cricket? Well, one at least, thanks to Daniel Bell-Drummond who is in ridiculously good form at the moment."

The visitors have added 154 runs in 32 overs this morning, Tawanda Muyeye and Daniel Bell-Drummond have both posted centuries, their partnership is knocking on the door of 250 and they have hauled Kent into the lead with nine first-innings wickets remaining.

A well-known brewing company's HQ is less than two miles from Wantage Road and it's safe to say that if that firm did County Championship sessions, they would be exactly what Kent have just experienced here.

  17. Lunch at Tauntonpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

    Abell run out 0 (Somerset 163 & 43-2, Nottinghamshire 186)

    Oh no!

Tom Abell goes to a direct hit from Joe Clarke's throw from the boundary looking to get back for a second run. A terrible way to end a morning session which has brought eight more wickets.

Matt Henry took four of them to end with 6-59 and Craig Overton took the other two as Notts collapsed from 144-4 to 186 all out.

Somerset made a steady start and put on 41 for the opening wicket, but then lost Sean Dickson before Abell's run out and reach lunch 20 runs ahead.

    Anthony Gibson (BBC Radio Somerset):

"What was Tom Abell thinking? Running himself out going for a third run, in the last over before lunch.

"It was a superb throw by Joe Clarke, to score a direct hit from the third man boundary, but it was a needless risk to take and which has spoiled what was otherwise a good morning for Somerset."

  18. wicket

    WICKET - Clark c Vilas b Mitchell 0published at 12:58 British Summer Time 26 June 2023

Daryl Mitchell is on a hat-trick!!!

Jordan Clark repeats the shot and slaps it straight to Dane Vilas at short midwicket.

Sean Abbott sees off the hat-trick ball yorker, then slaps Mitchell for four.

    Dramatic over.

    Northants 237 v Kent 256-1

...in the 61st over. The scoring rate has gradually increased to well over four an over and there are plenty of batting points here for them, particulary if they can keep Daniel Bell-Drummond and Tawanda Muyeye together.

The lead is up to 19.

  20. wicket

    Lancashire 274, Surrey 210- 6

Will Jacks picks out Dane Vilas at short midwicket - and Daryl Mitchell has a wicket, right out of the blue.

New man in is Lancs old boy Jordan Clark.
