It was nice to see the O'Brien brothers shaking the bell to start play this morning. I think they both had a hand on it so it was a joint effort.

Ireland have been positive and it's been good to see. It's the best way to approach it when you've got a mountain to climb.

Why not try and make a name for yourself?

A couple of lively Matthew Potts deliveries aside, this has been a solid start for Ireland.

No real scares and the bad balls have been put away.

I am not leaving Jimmy Anderson out for the first Test. It is tricky, but you can't leave him out.

Chris Rigbye: While England have been great, (short ball tactics aside) I feel Ireland should be able to compete as a county in the Championship to help them improve their red-ball game.
