Tucker was looking to sweep it firmly into the leg side but it was too full for that shot. It has been quite a frustrating morning for England so far.

It's unfortunate for Lorcan Tucker, who has battled really hard and showed some promising signs.

    Tucker b Leach 44 (Ire 126-4)

Played on! A disappointing end to a decent innings from Lorcan Tucker, who looks to sweep a full Jack Leach delivery but can only glove the ball back onto his stumps.

The bowling change makes an instant impact.

Scott Clark: Note to England's cricketers: it'll take about 35 minutes on public transport to get to Wembley for the Cup final, you'll be cutting it fine if you need 3 more wickets after lunch...

Lord's is looking a picture as the early morning cloud burns away to reveal clear blue skies and glorious sunshine.

England have made a bowling change. Here is Jack Leach.

Oh, he so nearly gets there! He's flung himself at it and that's difficult when you're hurtling down the pitch in your follow-through.

    Chipped up but just short!

Matthew Potts finds the leading edge of Lorcan Tucker's bat but the ball just short of his dive.

That's the closest England have come so far this morning.

It was nice to see the O'Brien brothers shaking the bell to start play this morning. I think they both had a hand on it so it was a joint effort.

    It was very cute.

Ireland have been positive and it's been good to see. It's the best way to approach it when you've got a mountain to climb.

Why not try and make a name for yourself?

A couple of lively Matthew Potts deliveries aside, this has been a solid start for Ireland.

No real scares and the bad balls have been put away.

We see a shot of Jack Leach warming up, we may see him introduced to the attack soon.

Another good shot from Lorcan Tucker.

Stuart Broad goes full and Tucker drives straight down the ground for four to move to 41.

I still think about that first Test in Brisbane and I just cannot comprehend why they didn't select Stuart Broad.

I am not leaving Jimmy Anderson out for the first Test. It is tricky, but you can't leave him out.

Lorcan Tucker is starting to enjoy himself here.

Matthew Potts just stays onto leg and Tucker clips away for four to bring up the fifty partnership.

Potts goes short next ball and Tucker pulls for a single.

Matthew Potts is getting some joy here.

He gets the ball to fizz past Lorcan Tucker's bat again before squaring him up next delivery and finding an edge that flies down between slip and gully for a fortuitous four.

Stuart Broad has got to play the first Ashes Test, surely? He has got to bowl at Warner first up.

And Robinson is a beautiful bowler, and they will need Wood's extra pace. It is a real tricky selection dilemma.

Tector and Tucker sounds like a chain of provincial estate agents. Wonder what's in their portfolio though?
