I don't think that's out. It didn't feel out, put it that way.

    Though I've been wrong before...

    Have I cursed Ireland?

Jack Leach thinks he has McBrine lbw, attempting to sweep, but the umpire isn't convinced.

With two reviews left, Ben Stokes takes a look upstairs.

Another quiet over from Broad but the ball is doing very little. Mark Adair in particular looks comfortable.

When do we start to talk about England batting again? Or have I gone too early with that?

  4. Ire 227-6published at 56 overs

I'm not sure you'll get a wicket like that!

Jack Leach bowls two filthy wides that are easily swept to the fine leg boundary by Mark Adair, who moves to 42.

  5. Ire 216-5published at 55 overs

A subdued start, just the single from Broad's over.

Jack Leach is bowling from the other end, which is a good sign, as he was off the field earlier.

Ireland will resume 137 behind. It will be some effort from them to make England bat again.

It'll be Stuart Broad taking the first over.

The kids have made way now for the Test players, which I suppose is understandable.

Andy McBrine will resume on 19, and Mark Adair with 32 from 24 balls.

And can Josh Tongue claim a five-wicket haul on debut? He has 4-56 so far.

There's a load of young kids playing on the Lord's outfield during lunch, which is always a lovely sight.

Outside our office today there's some kind of festival going on, and some more very excited children watching Hacker the Dog and Hey Duggee (I think I've got those right). It got us reminiscing about our favourite shows as kids - it was always the Tweenies for me.

It's also just been confirmed that England's squad is unchanged for the first two Tests of the Ashes, at Edgbaston and Lord's.

    Here's the 16:

Ben Stokes (captain), James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, Josh Tongue, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood.

But Mark Adair and Andy McBrine have frustrated England since, understandably having a bit of fun out there.

I think we'd all much rather see this than blocking it out for the sake of it!

But because of the predictability of the result, the biggest talking point of the morning so far has been Ben Stokes' knee.

The England skipper has insisted that he is fit and ready to bowl when England need him, but this didn't look good after he took a catch to dismiss Curtis Campher.

Remember, England only need to take nine wickets - so three more - because of the injury to James McCollum last night.

Here's how Jack Leach took England's first, after Lorcan Tucker batted nicely for his 44.

    Thanks, Tom.

My prediction before play was that England would have won this by now, but Ireland have batted very nicely and taken the attack to the bowlers.

I'm sure there are some impatient Manchester United and Manchester City fans out there hoping that this will be done by three!

As the players make their way off the field it is also time for me to take a break.

I'll leave you in the safe hands of Ffion Wynne.

Babyboomer: England play Australia in 2 weeks and are getting themselves battle hardened with a run out against Ireland. A bit like starting a job as a lion tamer and practising on your pussy cat for 2 weeks.

These sessions can drift sometimes when you know the game is done, but Ireland have shown a lot of fight and resilience.

  17. Lunch - Ire 215-6published at 54 overs

Andy McBrine sees off a maiden from Jack Leach and that's lunch.

Ireland can be well pleased with their work this morning, though the competitive nature of this match disappeared a while ago with the result not really in doubt.

The biggest concern may well be the state of Ben Stokes' nearly after the England skipper grimaced after taking a catch.

I'm sure he will be asked about that later.

The partnership has rattled along. They've put on 50 together in 8.4 overs.

  19. Ire 215-6published at 53 overs

England getting a touch sloppy in the field now as another over throw gifts Ireland two runs.

That is better from Josh Tongue. A brilliant line and length that beats Andy McBrine's outside edge.

We will likely squeeze one more over in before what will surely be another epic Lord's lunch.

    Trial by 141

There's a brief flurry of excitement as England appeal after Mark Adair offers no shot and the ball jags back and hits him on the back leg.

England decline the review and rightly so, the replay shows it was comfortably missing.
