England have only had three scores of players getting out in single-figure scores. They've only had two single-figure partnerships.
Robinson c Carey b Head 9 (Eng 324-8)
There goes another one.
Ollie Robinson comes charging down to Travis Head, tries to launch the ball over the ropes but can only manage a feather of an edge.
The ball hits Alex Carey on the chest but he clings on it. If Robinson hadn't been caught, he would've been stumped by a mile.
Australia need two more wickets to wrap up the innings.
WinViz currently has England at 37% and Australia at 51%.
England started the day on 52%.
On CricViz's expected runs and wickets model, England should currently be on 217-8.
Ouch, that is a very nasty one.
Stuart Broad turns away from a bouncer from Cameron Green and the ball thumps into his helmet.
It hit the underside of the grille, around his jaw.
Broad is still standing but the physio is out to check. Thankfully, he seems to be OK.

What a great shot that is from Ollie Robinson. Glorious, whatever it was.

Shotttt!
Full and on the pads from Cameron Green and Ollie Robinson whips it away over mid-wicket for four.
Shot of the morning by some distance!

Travis Head comes into the attack and England decide it is time to swing the bat.
With the new ball just a few overs away, it is probably their best chance to add a few quick runs.
Ollie Robinson chips over mid-off for a couple before Stuart Broad heaves the last to deep mid-wicket for two more.
The deficit is now under 100...

Genuine question. I'm intrigued to get a measured answer. What feels worse, England losing the last Ashes without throwing a punch or going down playing shots like this?

A collapsing English batting line-up and furious commentators - it seems pretty “traditional” to me.

Calmly done by Ollie Robinson and Stuart Broad to get through the rest of the Josh Hazlewood over, taking a single apiece from it.
Arguably a bit late for calm heads...

Many of the Australians in the press box have always been intrigued but doubtful of Bazball on their first exposure to it. Today they're just shaking their heads in disbelief, feeling entirely vindicated.

Australia with a new ball around the corner will feel they can just go boom, boom, boom. It hasn't gone well for England this morning. England were 180-1 with Nathan Lyon going off the field.
This is Test cricket, it can change in the blink of an eye. When you find yourself in a position of strength, just always think something can be around the corner.

Australia cannot believe their luck.
Bairstow c Cummins b Hazlewood (Eng 311-7)
Oh dear. Even when the ball is pitched up, England are managing to throw away their wickets.
Full and on the stumps from Josh Hazlewood and Jonny Bairstow chips it straight to Pat Cummins at mid-on.
Extremely tame and England are in a deep hole of their own making.

People criticising England's approach, fine. But can they tell us how they think the England of 2019 would be getting on against this Australian attack? If they think they would be winning, I have a Siberian pineapple plantation for sale...

People aren't frustrated with Bazball as a whole, it's the England teams inability to adapt to the situation. Just don't swing your bat mindlessly at bouncers. Australia will get tired eventually, then play your shots again. I don't understand why Brook didn't learn from yesterday which suggests it wasn't addressed in the dressing room. It doesn't bode well for the rest of the game or series as Australia now know an easy way to skittle England every innings.

Mitchell Starc is now level fifth in Australia's all-time wicket-taking list on 313 alongside Mitchell Johnson.
Bairstow 16, Broad 8
Jonny Bairstow flicks the last ball of the Cameron Green over out to deep square for a single - and that's drinks.
Undoubtedly Australia's hour. Two huge wickets in Ben Stokes - second ball of the day - and Harry Brook, the latest batter to succumb to the short stuff.
Pa Cummins and Mitchell Starc were superb but Jonny Bairstow and Stuart Broad have managed to calm things down a little since they've gone off.

It's a good shot for Stuart Broad, it came nice off the bat.
If Broad and Bairstow can get a good partnership and can help get England to around 40 behind, it's a really good day to bowl. They can't afford to let Australia have a lead of 70 or 80, it is too many.

Cameron Green is into the attack and Stuart Broad nails his first delivery straight at sub fielder Matt Renshaw at short leg. That will sting!
Next ball is short and wide so Broad flays it over cover for four!
