For whatever reason, when the floodlights are on, it feels like the ball does more and as a batter, it is tougher. The first three balls Labuschagne faced were right on the stumps.

Josh Tongue has now dismissed David Warner twice this match.

Ollie Robinson bowls around the wicket to Usman Khawaja and finally finds the edge, but Khawaja plays with soft hands and the ball falls short of Ben Duckett in the slips.

Robinson looks to the heavens. He has been pretty luckless this innings.

Marnus Labuschagne gets off the mark with a push into the gap on the leg side for three. Josh Tongue then bangs in a bouncer that Usman Khawaja does well to evade.

The two umpires have a chat at the end of the over. Could it be about the light? It is gloomy but does not seem to have got much worse than it has been for the last hour or so.

There is a possibility of a shower too this afternoon but it is dry for now.

It's been a tough old day for England, they are yet to break through. There's not a lot of energy out there, they are going through the motions a bit.

In the cases of Jimmy Anderson, Ollie Robinson and Josh Tongue, all three have had a significant increase in their percentage of deliveries with a good line and length. However, Stuart Broad's has dropped off.

There’s weariness among the commentators as Australia press on. Steve Finn has had a nap between stints. There’s one or two knowing looks as well.

Ben Stokes puts his hands on his knees and shakes his head as David Warner opens the face and guides the ball down the third man. Warner has a huge grin on his face as the ball trundles over the rope, summing up the match situation right now.

That sums up the match situation too - Ollie Robinson has bowled yet another brilliant delivery that bounces and seams away from Warner but somehow evades the outside edge.

Rehan Ahmed and Chris Woakes are the sub fielders by the way, with Stuart Broad and Ollie Pope off the field for treatment.

Australia are being patient and picking off the bad balls at the moment, with Usman Khawaja hammering a full Josh Tongue delivery through mid-on for four.
