We're wondering if Mark Wood does have a slight niggle or something. He's gone off again.

We are driving from Virginia to DC on our honeymoon. We had tickets for today, but alas. Hopefully we will have signal to keep up! Come on England!

Nope, not yet anyway.
Usman Khawaja is squared up again but gets on top of the ball and it flies through a gap in the slips for four.
Another edge then squirts through point and Australia run two.
Rather worryingly, Mark Wood jogs off the pitch at the end of the over.
Thankfully Usman Khawaja is fine to continue.
The ball must have been damaged after colliding into his helmet though as the umpires are going to change it.
Will it bring a change of luck for England?

Nothing has really seemed to work so far for England.

Looks like this innings may be David Warner's swansong, rather than Stuart Broad's.

This partnership is now worth 126 which is the highest opening partnership in Ashes cricket in this country since Alastair Cook and Andrew Strauss put on 196 at Lord's in 2009.
It's the highest for Australia since the last Test of the 2005 Ashes series when Justin Langer and Matthew Hayden put on 185 at The Oval.

England have gone all in, that's hit Usman Khawaja hard. Everytime a batter gets hit, it's because they've taken their eye off the ball.
Usman Khawaja turns away from a short delivery from Mark Wood and the ball smacks right onto the back of his helmet. The was nasty.
Wood asks if he is okay and Khawaja nods, though a member of the medical team will come out for a concussion Test.

Why didn't Stuart Broad wait until the match was finished to announce his retirement? The Aussies are now determined to spoil his party.

David Warner's half-century was reached from 90 balls with seven fours.
It's his 61st Test fifty. He's got three Test hundreds with all of them in Australia and it's his ninth half-century in England in 19 Tests with an average of just under 27.
He's yet to have a three figure score in England.
Good shot from Usman Khawaja again as he rocks onto the back foot and cuts away fine for four.
David Warner then plays a pretty much identical shot four balls later, before creaming the ball into the on-side next delivery for another boundary.
These two batters are expertly picking the bad balls at the moment. There is a nervous hush around The Oval.

Grizzly: When is Stuart Broad going to swap the bails?
Sir Alastair Cook
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
Warner has played really well, not the Warner I remember that was that attacking but he has been more progressive with his attacking nature. There's been real intent. He plays better when he looks to score.
I have just seen another replay of Harry Brook stop on the boundary, it was an incredible bit of athleticism as he was tumbling over the rope while clawing the ball back.
Still no breakthrough for England, though. There are plenty of smiles on the Australia balcony at the moment.

That was an extraordinary bit of fielding from Brook.
David Warner matches Usman Khawaja's achievement by reaching fifty with a pull towards the mid-wicket boundary.
Harry Brook does brilliantly well to prevent the four, but the two runs are enough for Warner to bring up the half-century.
