    Leicestershire win the One-Day Cup

That's certainly the best of the three finals we've had in the new One-Day Cup format.

Hope you've enjoyed our coverage today from Trent Bridge.

Join us again on Tuesday for the penultimate round of the County Championship.

But for now, raise a glass to Leicestershire. The Foxes are champions again.

Leics 267-7 beat Hants 265-8 by two runs

Well what a game, what a final and what a journey for Leicestershire.

Only two months ago, Paul Nixon was sacked as coach, players decided to leave and things looked very messy.

But they turned things around in August, blazed a trail through the group stage, ground their way past Gloucestershire in the semi-final and then pulled it off today.

The One-Day Cup delivers another feel-good story.

Leics beat Hants by two runs

Leicestershire captain Lewis Hill tells Sky Sports:

"Josh backed his skills, he had good guys around him and to come back as he did with that final over is all credit to him.

"We've showed a lot of character this year and we did so again to get up to a good score.

"For Harry to not play in the comp and the come in and do that is fantastic.

"We've defended targets really well this year, all bowlers came in a executed their plans."

Leics beat Hants by two runs

Hampshire captain Nick Gubbins tells Sky Sports:

"It's a real shame and the boys are hurting.

"Credit to Harry Swindells but it was a score that we thought we could chase down.

"Guys got in but couldn't go on to that big score we needed so the top four take responsibility there.

"We wanted to balance the side with the guys who have got us here and those guys would have learnt a lot from today."

Leics 267-7 beat Hants 265-8 by two runs

The Man of the Match is, quite rightly, Harry Swindells, for his outstanding 117 not out that changed the game.

    He tells Sky Sports:

"It's a very special day and to share it with another 10 great people is amazing.

"We had full confidence that if we could get up to a score we had the bowling attack to defend it.

"Sam Evans and I have played with each other for 15 years so that partnership was very special."

Leics 267-7 beat Hants 265-8 by two runs

    Hampshire must be sick.

They had the game in the palm of their hands firstly with the ball at 19-4 and then 89-6.

And even though they were eventually given a challenge to chase, from 117-2 they were in control.

But Chris Wright came up with two big wickets and then two fabulous catches in the deep in the closing stages kept Leicestershire in the game.

Liam Dawson played so well but it was on him to see his side over the line and ultimately he fell short.

If he had his time again, he perhaps doesn't play that premeditated paddle.

Leics 267-7 beat Hants 265-8 by two runs

    Well that is unbelievable!

Leicestershire were 19-4 earlier in the day having won the toss but Harry Swindells made a maiden List A hundred, 117 not out, and together with Sam Evans, who made 60, rescued their side.

Hampshire were well on course with Liam Dawson in the chase and only 11 were needed from 12 balls.

But first Chris Wright and then Josh Hull somehow limited Hants to only another eight runs.

Incredible stuff. Congratulations Leicestershire. What a story.
