  1. Hants 156-5 (target 268)published at 32 overs

Josh Hull left-arm round and goes a fraction wide.

Allows Liam Dawson to crash it over backward point for four.

But last ball of the over a huge slice of luck. He blocks into the ground and the ball bounces over his own stumps!

  2. 150 runs

up for Hampshirepublished at 31 overs

    Hants 151-5 (target 268)

Just three singles from the Colin Ackermann over as Hampshire try to steady the ship.

150 up but the required rate just nudges above a run-a-ball for what seems like the first time in the game.

  3. Hants 148-5 (target 268)published at 30 overs

Chris Wright will be held back for the death.

Josh Hull takes over, changing ends.

Oh a run out chance! Joe Weatherley wanted a single to cover that was never on but Tom Scriven couldn't gather cleanly at cover.

Weatherley was halfway down but manages to get home.

Lights on at Trent Bridge and this one is tight.

  4. Now the pressure is on Hantspublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 16 September 2023

    Hants 145-5 (target 268)

Hull has been expensive and a bit untidy and then all of a sudden he gets the key wicket of Tom Pest and suddenly that confidence has gone sky high.

It's a great innings, but he couldn't kick on and now you have got into the middle order ad that pressure is really on.

The experience of Liam Dawson is going to be key alongside Joe Weatherley.

  5. Hants 145-5 (target 268)published at 29 overs

    Colin Ackermann returns.

And is very tidy, varying his pace on a tight line.

Beats the edge final ball with a bit more flight.

    Three singles from.

  6. Hants 142-5 (target 268)published at 28 overs

Chris Wright is getting a third over of this fabulous spell.

Liam Dawson is the new man - the ultimate street fighter - and he gets away with an off side nudge.

A slower ball almost draws a drag on from Joe Weatherley.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 27 overs

    Prest c & b Hull 51 (Hants 136-5, target 268)

Tom Prest smashes Josh Hull down the ground for six.

Then glances to fine third man for two to raise fifty in 60 balls.

But then Hull finds a bit of bounce and Prest lobs a catch back to him!

    Huge moment in the game.

It was the extra ball that did it - the sixth legal ball of the over was a no-ball.

  8. Hants 124-4 (target 268)published at 26 overs

Superb return from Chris Wright. What Leicestershire desperately needed.

But he's only got three more. Is that it for now?

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 25.3 overs

    Donald c Ackermann b Wright 6 (Hants 123-4, target 268)

    Thanks Chris, afternoon all.

    And Leicestershire have another!

The dangerous Aneurin Donald is beaten for pace by a back-of-a-length ball and gets one off the shoulder of the bat to mid-wicket.

A second wicket for Chris Wright and the Foxes are trying to rally.

  10. Hampshire fans think they're winning thispublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 16 September 2023

    Hampshire 123-3 (target 268)

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at Trent Bridge

    Leicestershire sure needed that.

The cries of "Hampshire, Hampshire, Hampshire . .. " and "Haaaammpp-shiiiirrrre" had been getting louder and louder as their side edges ever closer to that Leicestershire score.

They are a bit monotonous and clearly all the louder for the respective larynxes having been well oiled by a successful liquid lunch.

They also make you almost long for the comparative wit of football chants.

Footie fans can be crude and bordering on the obscene at times - but at least they are driven by an attempt at making you laugh.

What isn't so funny is that Chris Wright's removal of Ben Brown hasn't actually shut the Hampshire choir up! That wicket was merely a pause for breath. They clearly sound like they think they're winning this.

  11. Hants 123-3 (target 268)published at 125 overs

Josh Hull continues to leak runs as his first ball disappears to the boundary off Aneurin Donald's bat.

But he recovers well to concede just one further single.

Leicestershire have fought hard, but Hants are on top as they reach the halfway stage needing 145 to win with seven wickets in hand.

Now it's over to Alex Winter to guide you to the finish line.

  12. Hants 118-3published at 24 overs

A wicket and just the one single from Aneurin Donald.

The change worked and brought the breakthrough so badly needed, but the Foxes will need to keep up the pressure.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 23.1 overs

    Brown c Ackermann b Wright 33 (Hants 117-3 target 268)

Ben Brown will be ticking as he walks reluctantly back to the pavilion.

Hants were looking so comfortable and Brown must have been eyeing seeing his side home.

He looks to pull the first wicket of Chris Wright's return for four, but only finds Colin Ackermann at midwicket.

    Aneurin Donald is in.

  14. Hants 117-2published at 23 overs

There looks very little in the pitch for the Leicestershire bowlers.

Ben Brown looks comfortable as he helps himself to a two and a single.

Scriven has been economic, but it's not backed up at the other end.

  15. Hants 114-2 (target 268)published at 22 overs

Tom Prest clears Lewis Hill's head as he launches Colin Ackermann over mid-off for four.

And then sends another to the fine leg boundary for back-to-back fours.

The final ball almost cleans up Prest, but the over's worth 10 as Hampshire accelerate.

  16. 100 runs

up for Hampshirepublished at 21 overs

    (Hants 104-2 target 268)

Tom Prest nudges a single off Tom Scriven and three figures come up in the 21st over.

Ben Brown's plays an elegant drive off Scrivens' final ball and Hants are in full control.

Prest and Ben Brown have put on 66 in quick time.

  17. Hants 98-2 (target 268)published at 20 overs

Ben Brown helps himself to a four from the first ball of Colin Ackermann's second over.

    A lovely reverse sweep.

Seven from the over and Hants look to be cruising.

At this stage, Leics were 78-5.

  18. Hants 91-2published at 19 overs

Tom Scrivens switches ends finds the edge off Tom Prest's bat in his first over.

But it flies harmlessly down to third man for a single.

Just three singles from another tidy over.

But boy, Leics could do with another wicket.

  19. 'Hampshire targeting Hull'published at 16:01 British Summer Time 16 September 2023

    Hants 88-2 (target 268)

    Sean Ervine
Former Hampshire all-rounder on BBC Radio Solent

Josh Hull is a little unsure of himself. He might not be too comfortable and Hampshire look like they’re targeting him.

Spin for the first time today as Colin Ackermann turns his arm over.

Ben Brown and Tom Prest nudge five singles off it.
