There's no point in Mohammed Shami hanging around. He uppercuts another bouncer from Starc over the slips for four.

This is why you pick Mitchell Starc! Umesh Yadav doesn't know whether he's going to break his toes or knock his head off. Starc goes for the latter, Umesh gets in a tangle and gloves the ball through to Alex Carey, who takes a fine catch.

Pat Cummins, as captain, is obviously going to play in the first Ashes Test. The other option would be to leave out Mitchell Starc but he brings variation with his left-arm angle and creates rough for Nathan Lyon.

My gut feeling is that if Josh Hazlewood is fit then he will play. Nathan Lyon is going to be the difference in the Test series, he's a world-class spinner and England don't have that.
