Right then, the players are out in the middle and Kate Cross is preparing to bowl the first over.

Alyssa Healy will face up to the first ball for Australia, who need 286 to win the Ashes outright.

    Thanks, Callum.

The England bowlers were out warming up for a while and although 285 is a useful total, they'll have to be on their game to defend it.

Holding onto catches would be good, too...

As for Australia, they could be chasing 350 and they'd still back themselves to knock them off.

    Right, ready for a chase?

England are stood on the boundary edge ready to go.

Sam Drury is coming back to take you through the first half of Australia's innings.

  4. Day of final men's Ashes Test to raise awareness of dementiapublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 18 July 2023

The England and Wales Cricket Board have joined forces with the Alzheimer’s Society and will use day three (29 July) of the final men's Ashes Test at The Oval to raise awareness of dementia.

Day three has been picked to represent the fact that one in three people born in the UK will suffer from dementia.

There are currently over 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK – enough to fill the Oval 33 times over.

England men's Test captain Ben Stokes said: "The Ashes is one of the great sporting contests, and over the years it has produced so many amazing memories for me and millions more.

"As a team we want to entertain, and to make many more memories for cricket fans up and down the country.

"But we know that dementia affects far too many people, and has a terrible effect on them and their loved ones.

"I’m pleased we can raise awareness and vital money to help end the devastation caused by dementia."

    Go on then.

Nat Sciver-Brunt followed up her valiant unbeaten 111 in defeat on Sunday with another magnificent century.

She eventually fell for 129 but has now made four centuries in her last five ODIs against Australia.

The all-rounder is the only player to score four ODI tons against Australia too.

A brilliant piece of fielding then saw substitute Darcie Brown run out Amy Jones for just six.

That started a late innings slide from England, with five wickets falling in the final six overs.

But, Danni Wyatt came in and added some much needed impetus as she smacked 43 off 25 balls.

    They were some brilliant shots.

Alice Capsey again fell looking to hit spin down the ground, this time for just five, as England lost some momentum.

Heather Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt then put on a brilliant 147 for the third wicket.

It is England's record partnership against Australia and built a brilliant platform for the hosts.

They were 159-3 when Knight fell for 67.

England then lost Sophia Dunkley and Tammy Beaumont in the first four overs to slip to 12-2.

It's the first time in this series they have lost two early wickets so it will be a positive for Heather Knight and Jon Lewis to see they were able to respond to that.

    That innings had it all.

It started with umpire Anna Harris taking a fall.

Thankfully she saw the funny side of it.

Chris Baldwin: I reckon England are about 30 short, some poor running and too many shots hit straight at fielders.

It feels ridiculous that I am about to say this - and it is a sign of how far this England side have come - but they may be disappointed to only make 285.

They lost five wickets for 41 runs in the final six overs of that innings, and they were 158-2 after 31 overs.

Have they left a few out there?

So far in this ODI series we've had two cracking games with first-innings totals of 263 and 279.

You'd be brave to bet against this being another cracker.

To chase this, Australia's target of 286 will be their second highest successful chase (if they make it) in ODIs and their highest against England.

    A dot ball.
