The end of another over. NRR will know that the quicker England get this game won, the better.

Rashid has bowled that ball brilliantly today, Mahedi Hasan is stood there wondering how that happened.

It's a typical wrong-un from Rashid. That is an important wicket. Perfect piece of bowling.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 40.5 overs

    Mahedi b Rashid 14 (Ban 195-8)

England are closing in! Superb googly from Adil Rashid.

Mahedi Hasan pushed at it but the ball dipped and turned sharply through the gate to hit middle.

Just as Rashid would have pictured it. Can England get these last two quickly? I, for one, would be grateful if they did.

It will be a wicket England will be glad to get. These three wicket could end up being relatively important. This game has been drifting for a while, but it has felt extra drifty.

  7. Ban 191-7published at 40 overs

Not a bad first over at all for Liam Livingstone. A wicket and just two runs from it.

We've got 10 overs to go, although England will hope to wrap it up before then.

Can someone tell me why the West Indies aren't at the World Cup? Did they get beaten in a qualifier by a tier 2 team per chance?

    Leo

That is exactly what happened, Leo. The Netherlands and Sri Lanka came through the qualifying tournament. Scotland just missed out, West Indies came fifth out six in the Super Six stage.

It's a nice loosener by Liam Livingstone, it was driven. Hridoy was stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to play that one.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 39.1 overs

    Hridoy c Buttler b Livingstone 39 (Ban 189-7)

    Liam Livingstone strikes first ball!

It's a beauty as well. Pitching on middle, full enough to drag Towhid Hridoy forward and then turning to take the outside edge.

Well taken by Jos Buttler. England need three more.

  11. Ban 189-6published at 39 overs

Adil Rashid races through another highly watchable over. He beats Mahedi Hasan with a googly that just misses off stump.

Mark Wood is a slippery customer, even though he doesn't look comfortable running in on this sandy surface. He's still getting it up and around 90mph, which is extreme pace.

Nice shot from Towhid Hridoy, driving through the covers for four off Mark Wood.

Good to see a bit of intent, although it doesn't last long. Three dot balls to finish the over.

Thomas Measures: I know you can never say a game is won, but with the injuries we've had recently, do we want to push our luck with Mark Wood bowling his full 10?

  16. Ban 180-6published at 37 overs

On we go, 13 overs left in the innings and... well, there are 13 overs left. That's about all there is to report.

It's a funny game this, you bowl a brilliant spell, rip the top off the opposition batting, then put down a catch you would almost always take.

  18. dropped catch

Mahedi dropped on 6published at 36.3 overs

    Target 365

England should have a seventh as Mahedi Hasan drills the ball to mid on off Adil Rashid.

Reece Topley is the fielder but the big man can't get down quickly enough and shells the catch.

You too, Sam! I think I answered Stu's NRR question below too. Though I can't say my aims were entirely selfless given the obvious glamour and fame of the BBC live text feed. Pastor Stu, the NRR of each team won't sum to 0 now as there's an uneven amount of games played. Multiply each team's NRR by games played then sum and you'll get 0. It often doesn't add up after all matches though due to no results which don't impact the NRR as they aren't counted as a game played.

    Tom, Manchester

I may be biased but there are few more glamorous live text feeds out there...

  20. Ban 176-6published at 36 overs

    Target 365

Mark Wood is ramping it up again and clocks in excess of 90mph numerous times in the over.

Bangladesh need another 189 from 84 balls although they stopped trying to get them quite some time ago - either that or they've banking on a very big last 14 overs!
