It has been a really good innings. It is a surprise it is his first half-century against India. That is quite a thing.

Babar Azam has played some lovely shots in that half-century but did have a huge slice of fortune too.
Kuldeep Yadav with a good over but he finishes it with a freebie to Babar Azam, who biffs a full toss to the boundary through point.
That brings up his half-century.

Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
Pakistan need Babar Azam to be that player he's been in a number of formats. It's always been about Joe Root, Virat Kohli, Kane Wiliamson and Steve Smith. But if you look at Babar's record it is up there with those players. If he can stand up it will bring a few players around him
Ravindra Jadeja has a bit of a frustrated whinge at Hardik Pandya after a sliver of a catching chance goes begging
Babar Azam clips Mohammed Siraj to mid-wicket and Hardik dives forward but the ball goes under him. It dropped short of Hardik so was only a quarter chance in all honesty.
The Pakistan captain picks up four for it, and back it up later in the over with another boundary as he drills a drive straight down the ground, all along the carpet.
A welcome 13 runs off that over for Pakistan.

You can see the pressure building.
Mohammad Rizwan attempts something funky to the last ball of Kuldeep Yadav's fifth over as he backs away to create room, then slashes at the ball. However, he's unable make contact.
Rohit Sharma has a pensive expression etched across his face as he directs his troops in the field.

We've had a quarter of the match and nothing decisive has happened to decide the match either way. We still don't know which way it is going.
That decision does not appear to have spooked Mohammad Rizwan as he continues to employ the sweep shot to Ravindra Jadeja.
He spoons a top edge off Jadeja's third ball behind square but it does not find the fielder and plonks into the turf allowing the Pakistan batter to pick up a couple.
Four runs off the over.

Andrew in Preston (see 10:05 BST). I don't think it'll matter to the Indian fans. They adore cricket, and celebrate every win like they've won the tournament. I've never seen such passionate fans. They'll follow their team to the ends of the earth.

That was a lot tighter than I thought. That is another tick for the umpire. The umpiring has been very good in this tournament.
Babar Azam is stuck at the moment.
Babar Azam is a lucky lucky man.
It was pitching in line and good for height, but went down to umpire's call on whether it was hitting leg stump.

No bat involved.
Could be a huge moment.
Babar Azam makes a hash of a sweep shot and is struck on the pad by Kuldeep Yadav.
It's given not out on the field, but after some deliberations Rohit Sharma decides to review.
Ravindra Jadeja, hair fastened back by a sweat band and dinner plate sunglasses, is through another over which is milked for three singles by Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam.
This pair have now put on 50 off 69 balls for Pakistan.
Pakistan are starting to generate some momentum.
Buoyed by the previous over, Mohammad Rizwan scoops the fourth ball of Kuldeep Yadav's over the head of KL Rahul and the ball races away for another four.

John Petrie: Hoping Pakistan post a big total so the scene is set that requires something special from Rohit and Kohli.

Ravindra Jadeja will be happy to see that shot, it is against the line and more of a hoick.
There's a chap in the crowd with a mock of the World Cup stuck to his head with a queue of people asking for selfies.
Back on the field, Mohammad Rizwan picks up a couple of boundaries against Ravindra Jadeja, although not entirely convincingly.
Rizwan gets an bottom edge as he attempts to cut the India spinner and the ball goes between the legs of wicketkeeper KL Rahul.
Next ball, the Pakistan batter heaves it into the leg side and the ball beats the dive of the fielder on the rope.
Babar 31 , Rizwan 17
The left-arm wrist spin of Kuldeep Yadav is summoned by India skipper Rohit Sharma.
A cautious approach from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, happy to flick and nudge a couple of singles off the India spinner.
