Thanks, Sam.
You sense that Pakistan's hopes of posting a half-decent total at the Narendra Modi Stadium will hinge on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan - their two most senior players.
Ravindra Jadeja rattles through a very tight over, conceding just a single.
That slows Pakistan a little but with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in the middle, they'll be content with where they're at right now.
It's time for us to make a change now so I'll hand you over to Timothy Abraham.
Mohammad Rizwan is starting to settle now but it was a nervy start and, even after a review, he was a centimetre away from an early departure...
Babar 30, Rizwan 15
Another nice drive from Babar Azam but this one is out to the fielder in the deep for a single.
Mohammad Rizwan follows suit to complete the scoring for the over.
Pakistan's two leading batters are going smartly about their work.

This is probably ideal for Pakistan. They got a decent start from the openers and now their two talismanic batters can build an individual innings and a stand and build a platform for them to attack from the 35th over onwards.
Driven elegantly through the covers by Babar Azam. Four runs to take Pakistan to three figures.
Shardul Thakur offered him the width and Babar was not going to miss out. Super shot.
The TV cameras cut from Ravindra Jadeja to Rohit Sharma to Virat Kohli, all of whom have expressions of surprise and frustration as Kuldeep Yadav fails to cut the ball off on the point boundary.
It was cut away well by Mohammad Rizwan but the India players clearly felt that Kuldeep should have done better in the deep.

He's so natural and he never seems rushed.

Ravinda Jadeja is worth 20 in the field before the game even begins.
Yet more excellent fielding from Ravindra Jadeja at point. This time to cut off a well-struck shot from Babar Azam.
Speaking of Sachin Tendulkar, he'd have been proud of this shot from Babar Azam.
It's a gorgeous straight drive from the Pakistan skipper, beating the dive of the mid-on fielder and running away for four.
That is top class from Babar.

The media centre is a remarkable place today. There are more India and Pakistan legends than you can count.
The great man himself, Sachin Tendulkar, has just turned up in his suit and shades.

Pakistan are a better bowling side when they have a target to defend. Anything over 300 will test India.
Sensible batting from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. They're content to milk Ravindra Jadeja for singles after his threatening first over.
They take five from the over and it looks like Shardul Thakur will bowl the next.

Batting could be tricky in the second innings because the ball is just sticking in the wicket.
Frustration for Hardik Pandya to end that over but there was delight in his previous set.
The all-rounder had Imam-ul-Haq caught behind on the drive...
Mohammad Rizwan is usually so busy at the crease but India are doing a good job of keeping him tied down.
However, after five dot balls, Hardik Pandya loses his line and Rizwan whips the ball off his pads and through mid-wicket for four.
That might help him to get going.
Pak 75-2
After a breathless first 14 overs, it's time for a drink.
The crowd, as much as the players, might appreciate the chance to regroup before going again.

That crowds are on their feet and dancing. Imam's wicket seems to have woken them up. Rizwan's review was successful but that hasn't dampened the mood.
A very good first over from Ravindra Jadeja but not quite a wicket-taking one.
I'd say he was bowling stump to stump but that review shows that is not strictly true of every ball.
