Oh, ouch. We've just seen Rohit Sharma's finger on the camera and that is gone. I think that's dislocated.

Prior to that dropped catch, Rachin Ravindra had played a lovely shot through the leg side for four.
It was a very eventful over!
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma made a stop at the end of the previous over and was wringing his hand. We've just seen why. He looks to have done himself a mischief, his finger doesn't look in a great way.

Jadeja? What?
The safest hands in the world!

Deary me. That was an absolute sitter. A horrible, horrible drop.
NZ 40-2
Incredible. A dolly dropped at backward point and it's Ravindra Jadeja, of all people!
Rachin Ravindra pushes at a ball that wasn't really there to drive, it comes off the outside half of the bat and goes to Jadeja at about knee height.
You'd back him to take that every time but, to the disbelief of everyone, he shells it.
Nothing on UltraEdge and Rachin Ravindra survives.
Good review but I have no idea what the noise was because it didn't hit the back leg as is often the case in these instances.

Rachin Ravindra has reviewed this immediately. Shami was convinced but I don't think the keeper was.
Mohammed Shami thinks he's got another wicket as Rachin Ravindra attempts to pull and the ball whistles by close to the under edge.
Massive appeal, given but immediately reviewed.

Mohammed Siraj was really not happy with that wide call. He's ended up bowling a 10-ball over and that is tiring work!

A bit of a risky shot from Mitchell with the leg slip in place but he's played it with soft hands so it was comfortably four in the end.
It's a long old over to end the powerplay as Mohammed Siraj radar malfunctions and he sends down four leg-side wides - albeit he's not happy with at least one of them.
There's is also a boundary in there for Daryl Mitchell, advancing before flicking the ball down to fine leg, well wide of the leg slip that was brought in a couple of balls earlier.

That is beautiful. The first shot of intent we have seen from Ravindra so far and that will make him feel better.

Mohammed Shami is so reliable for India and he has a habit of making things happen.
Daryl Mitchell comes in and drives his first ball through the covers. It's not timed and is pulled back before the rope but good running means Mitchell is back for three.
Rachin Ravindra is still having a tough time, though, and plays and misses with a drive next ball.
Well, he was having a tough time... he crunches a drive through extra cover for four. Top shot!

It is a classic Mohammed Shami delivery. He doesn't do anything fancy, he bowls full and straight and he will do it all day long.

Will Young is shaking his head.
It nips back ever so slightly and first ball, Shami gets a breakthrough.
New Zealand are struggling. They're two down inside 10 overs and the run rate is going nowhere.
Young b Shami 17 (NZ 19-2)
Dragged on! Mohammed Shami strikes with his first ball of this World Cup!
It's a tight line around off stump, a fraction back of a length and Will Young tries to force it through the off side.
However, the ball nips back to take the inside edge and clip leg stump.

They have just allowed India to bowl at them and allowed them to settle into a spell.
There has been no attempt from the batters to manipulate the ball, or to try and throw them off their lengths.
Two big appeals for lbw in the Mohammed Siraj over as New Zealand continue to struggle for runs.
Will Young shuffles across his stumps and tries to work the ball to leg and is hit on the pad. That's not a bad shout but it's given not out and, with just one review left, India opt against taking it.
The next always looks too high despite Young being caught on the crease. Not out.

A genuine outside edge, but neither slip had a chance.
You can see that the fielder at deep third hasn't even bothered to run for that and that tells you all you need to know about the apprehension to dive on this outfield.
