Cummins is steaming in, running in like his life depends on it. Umpire Michael Gough taps his shoulder as Nidamanuru watches as bouncer go by. It's, erm, one-sided.

Max points England can get is 12 IF they win remaining games, meaning SA/NZ need 2 more wins and Aus needing 3 more... and all 3 having solid NRR currently.

Teja Nidamanuru is the new man for the Dutch, who are now just trying to avoid more unwanted records. He gets away with a top edge for four.

What a catch that is! David Warner has timed that brilliantly. A wonderful bit of fielding.

    Very, very good catch.

David Warner has made a ton today, albeit overshadowed by Glenn Maxwell. He's at deep square leg for Mitch Marsh's first over, picked out by Sybrand Engelbrecht. Warner holds over his head. tip-toeing around the rope.

George: The ICC has tried its absolute best to get rid of associates from the ODI world cup, but pesky Scotland and Netherlands keep beating the West Indies/Zimbabwe/Ireland in qualifying. How dare they!! It surely can't be that they deserve to be here can it????

Is that right? It doesn't feel right. We're going to need some sort of graphic. Maybe a flowchart. Or a Powerpoint. You know what to do...

If India go unbeaten in qualifying and NZ or SA lose 1 or 2 then England's could even finish 4th with 4 wins. You'd expect them to beat NL & Sri Lanka. It's down to whether they can beat AUS or Pakistan which would be 50/50.

Netherlands did qualify fair and square, Vikas. They were ahead of Test teams West Indies, Ireland and Zimbabwe. The next World Cup in going to be 14 teams. That tournament will be more than 50 years after the first World Cup. It's not a great look for the expansion of the game that half a century of progress gets only 14 teams into the marquee competition.

ICC will need to evaluate the introduction of associate teams to the ODI World Cup. Are we willing to go through the rigour of so many lop sided games for the sake of 1-2 upsets? The challenge with ODI cricket with the advent of T20 and this approach of going harder through the innings is you are not going to have many close games. The previous ODI template of start steady, accumulate and then finish big was adopted by all countries as the de facto template of playing ODIs which led to lot many close games but this is now disrupted. So, yes, even full member games are turning out to be lop sided which will lead to the eventual death of this format.

Scott Edwards, who plays club cricket in Australia, is the new man. His first ball, from Cummins, cuts him in two. How has that not bowled him?

From an umpire's perspective, you've got to give that out. It's umpire's call but it's cannoning into leg stump.

As a batter, you have to review it as well, so everyone has done what they should.

It's a chunky umpire's call, it wasn't a tiny flick. But there have been two umpire's calls and when you're up against it chasing 400, you want the marginal calls to go your way.

Not a day for Bas de Leede to remember. The worst bowling figures ever in an ODI, now leg before to Pat Cummins barely troubling the scorers. Umpire's call, but hitting nevertheless.

Across this tournament, the Dutch will be disappointed that in key moments of games, they've gone missing. Every single game, they would've felt like there were moments were in but missed. Today is different, they've just been blown away.

  19. Ned 48-3published at 10 overs

Bas de Leede is the new man. He has a few to get after going for the most expensive figures in ODI history earlier on. England need the Netherlands to dig in, here. That Aussie NRR boost needs to be limited.

A good decision not to review that. It might have kept a fraction low but Ackermann played all across it. The build-up of balls meant he just went away from what he had been doing.
