  1. wicket

Ackermann lbw Hazlewood 10 (Ned 47-3)

Gone! Celebrappeal from Josh Hazlewood, who has crashed into the pads of the flat-footed Colin Ackermann. Stuck on the crease, probably hitting leg/middle-and-leg three-quarters of the way up.

Australia are all over the Dutch.

  2. Ned 47-2published at 9 overs

    Target 400

It's all gone a bit quite since Singh was run out. Netherlands are in a tricky place. They their target is a monster, but going too hard now could result in falling in a heap.

  3. Ned 42-2published at 8.3 overs

    Target 400

Two wickets to fall so far, which you can see below. Aussie skipper Pat Cummins replaces Mitchell Starc in the attack.

  4. Ned 42-2published at 8 overs

    Target 400

Hazlewood's shoulders are rocking as he ambles in towards Engelbrecht. Two slips wait as Engelbrecht fences at one that goes past the outside edge. If Australia win this, they can push England to the precipice by beating New Zealand on Saturday (even if England beat Sri Lanka tomorrow).

  5. Ned 41-2published at 7 overs

    Target 400

Ooohhh, shot. A lovely way for Engelbrecht to get off the mark, stretching to ease a Starc half-volley through the covers for four.

There aren't many of the smaller nations in this tournament that can or will try and chase down 400. At half-time, they should be aiming for something like 300 and getting personal milestones. If Ackermann got 50 or 100 against Australia, that would be big.

  7. Ned 37-2published at 6 overs

Singh didn't dive, which is poor. Sybrand Englelbrecht is the new man. Promoted up the order after his runs against Sri Lanka at the weekend.

  8. wicket

Singh run out (Maxwell) 25 (Ned 37-2)

Glenn Maxwell at it again. Vikram Singh tries to pinch a single to mid-off and it is his undoing. He's taking on one of the best in the world, Glenn Maxwell, who is already buzzing from his record-breaking ton. Direct hit, goodnight.

He's out by a country mile.

And after playing that shot, Vikram Singh looks to have run himself out...

  11. Ned 37-1published at 5.4 overs

Netherlands might lose this game, but Vikram Singh might have just played the best-looking shot of the day. Straight drive, between Hazlewood and mid-off. Four of the best.

Netherlands know they are probably not going to chase this down but right know, they are ahead of where Australia were at this point.

  13. Ned 33-1published at 5 overs

Colin Ackermann is the new arrival.

Only Glenn McGrath and Muttiah Muralitharan have more World Cup wickets than Mitchell Starc.

That dismissal sums up Max O'Dowd's day, bang average in the field. That's the wicket Mitchell Starc wanted and got it.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.5 overs

    O'Dowd b Starc 6 (Ned 28-1)

    Gone this time!

Max O'Dowd has looked all at sea against Mitchell Starc and the ending is inevitable. O'Dowd limply pokes the bat at an in-swinger and plays on to his own furniture. Stumps everywhere.

  17. Ned 28-0published at 4.4 overs

Ooohhh, Starc likes this, one that comes back to the struggling O'Dowd. Dead in front, but there's a big inside edge. No review. Quite right, too. Same again next ball, too.

  18. Ned 28-0published at 4 overs

    Target 400

Tight over from Hazlewood, just that non-single single from it. Netherlands are going at seven an over, but are still behind the rate.

  19. dropped catch

    Close!published at 3.2 overs

    Ned 28-0

    Should have been miles out!

Max O'Dowd wants a single that isn't on. Just a push into the off side, right into Hazlewood's follow-through. He sets off, Singh runs and would have been miles out had the throw hit.
