That is a really poor piece of fielding.
Oh dear. After two wides from Logan van Beek, Pat Cummins swings the ball out to deep mid-wicket.
It should only be a single but Max O'Dowd misjudges it and the ball spins past him for four.
Smoked over long on for six more! There is no stopping Glenn Maxwell at the moment.
The fastest World Cup century is Aiden Markram's 49-ball effort earlier in this tournament. Just FYI.

These two have put on 50 now and Pat Cummins has faced five balls and scored three runs.
Maxwell 61, Cummins 3
Glenn Maxwell takes a single from the last ball again.
That half-century came from just 27 balls. I'm not ruling out a century yet...
This is just staggering batting from Glenn Maxwell.
He's reverse pulled this one for six! It was a slower ball bouncer from Bas de Leede so he had to generate all the power himself.
No issue for the Big Show.

He's a freak, isn't he?
There is one thing that is really annoying me about this innings though, and it is his collar. It is half up and half down. It is the only thing wrong with this innings.

That is insane. He's just tapped it for six over deep backward point. A wonderful shot.
How do you describe it? It is like lopping the top off a boiled egg.
Aus 333-6
Wow. That is incredible timing for Glenn Maxwell to bring up with half-century with a stunning reverse sweep/ switch-hit for six.
He barely seemed to hit it, the timing was just impeccable.
Solid finish from Paul van Meekeren, helped out by a very generous decision from the umpires not to call a wide when the ball bounces well over Glenn Maxwell's head.
A single from the last means Maxwell keeps strike.

A four and six to different places. It just shows how difficult it is to bowl to him.

That is what Glenn Maxwell does so well. He just manipulates the field and creates the gap. He makes you think as a bowler, where do I go next?
Brilliant invention from Glenn Maxwell.
The fielders are out on the leg side so he takes fast bowler Paul van Meekren down with reverse sweep over backward point for a one-bounce four.
Six! This time he goes over the leg side, thrashing a pull shot into the stands.
Bas de Leede has had plenty of tap so far today but this is a good over at this stage of the innings.
No boundaries conceded and just seven from it in total, 2-72 from eight overs for the Netherlands all-rounder now.

Max O'Dowd fielding with his hair down is illegal. I've got a spare hair tie, I'm going to run down and throw it to him.
Two from the last ball of the over after an excellent diving stop in the deep from Max O'Dowd at deep mid-wicket.
Six overs to go, 350-plus will still be the target for Australia.

It was just out of reach. It was a shot out of frustration from Maxwell.

That is the sort of catch that would have been replayed and replayed if it had been taken.
