  1. dropped catch

Maxwell dropped on 26published at 43.5 overs

    Aus 303-6

Nearly a magnificent catch from Teja Nidamanuru!

Glenn Maxwell skies one trying to clear the rope, the ball hangs in the air but goes over mid-off from where Nidamanuru sprints back to try and take the catch.

He has to dive full length as the ball drops over his shoulder but can only get a fingertip to it.

    So close.

  2. 300 runs

    Aus 301-6published at 43.1 overs

    Brilliantly nonchalant from Glenn Maxwell.

Just waiting for the ball outside off from Paul van Meekeren, hanging the bat out and just angling it to send the ball racing to the boundary at deep third.

Four to bring up the 300.

  3. Not outpublished at 43 overs

    Aus 297-6

Despite the big initial review, you sense Scott Edwards knew that was a hopeful review.

Not bat involved, the ball skidded past the toe-end of Pat Cummins' bat. The noise was bat hitting the ground.

The Netherlands are out of reviews.

I'm not sure Scott Edwards is convinced.

  5. Netherlands reviewpublished at 43 overs

    Aus 297-6

Big appeal from Scott Edwards behind the stumps as Pat Cummins stretches for a ball wide outside off from Roelof van der Merwe.

It takes Edwards a long time but he chooses to review at the very last moment.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 42.2 overs

Green run out (Engelebrecht) 8 (Aus 290-6)

Yep, Cam Green is short of his ground by about a foot. Brilliant from Sybran Engelbrecht.

Glenn Maxwell pushes the ball out towards long on and they try to get back for two.

It always looked tight and once Engelbrecht's shy at the stumps, after he had sprinted in and swooped, finds its mark, Green knows he's done for.

Australia are in danger of squandering a very good position somewhat.

Both of the Australia batters think this is out.

Pat Cummins is already pulling on his helmet.

  9. Umpire reviewpublished at 42.2 overs

Direct hit from the deep and Cam Green could be in big trouble.

    Great throw from Sybran Engelbrecht.

  10. Aus 288-5published at 42 overs

Paul van Meekeren comes back well following that boundary and keeps Australia to just a pair of singles from the rest of the over.

The Aussies are closing in on 300, though, with another eight overs to bat - 350 is still very much on.

Why has Roelof van der Merwe only bowled four overs?

  13. Aus 286-5published at 41.2 overs

Smoked back past the bowler by Glenn Maxwell. All along the ground again, that's a brilliant shot.

We've seen four superb straight drives for four in the last two overs. It's not all about leg-side slogs late in the innings...

That is when he's at his best. When he tries to hit it for six first ball, like in the last game, he loses his shape.

Glenn Maxwell is known for hitting the ball out of the ground but he's playing along the floor with some classical cricket shots at the moment.

  16. Aus 282-5published at 41 overs

    Four more!

It's not too dissimilar to the Cameron Green boundary to start the over as Glenn Maxwell punches back past Bas de Leede.

He was up on his toes, met the ball at the top of the bounce and timed it perfectly down the ground.

Drilled through the covers now. Crunching drive from Maxwell for another boundary.

That is a lovely punch back down the ground. It was too full from Bas de Leede and it was easy pickings. That will help Cameron Green to get going.

  18. Aus 272-5published at 40.1 overs

Cameron Green couldn't beat mid-off or mid-on in the last over so he decides to split the difference, punching the ball superbly back past Bas de Leede for four.

  19. Aus 268-5published at 40 overs

After a succession of drives to the fielders at mid-off and mid-on, Cameron Green is off the mark from the last ball of the over, finding the gap in the covers for one.

Very good over from Logan van Beek, though, just two from it and the big wicket of David Warner.

It was a pretty weak dismissal for David Warner. He is shaking his head as he walks off.

Are we going to see another collapse from them? Another time they should get over 400 and don't get near.

This is a good opportunity for the Netherlands. Cameron Green might be lacking confidence because he's in and out of the side. He doesn't really know his role.
