Oh! A beauty to end the powerplay from Dushmantha Chameera as he slides one past the outside edge of Shakib Al Hasan's bat.

Tough to call who has won that powerplay. Pretty even at this stage.

Here's how Dilshan Madushanka picked up the wicket of Liton Das. A beauty.

I'm not sure what we are going to get in the remaining of the World Cup, in regards to batters appealing.

  4. Ban 54-2published at 9 overs

    Target 280

Sri Lanka are looking to be proactive against Dilshan Madushanaka, which the left-armer probably won't mind because it might create more opportunities for him.

Najmul Hossain Shanto advances down the pitch and picks up four more with a straight drive. He didn't get it all but he got enough.

That's a pressure shot from Shanto. He has a lot of pressure on him.

    That's a lovely stroke.

Not quick enough from Shakib though.

  7. Ban 48-2published at 8 overs

    Target 280

Sri Lanka are persisting with the short ball but the bounce is pretty inconsistent. That means sometimes it isn't getting very high at all and it is pretty easy for Bangladesh to play.

That is the case on this occasion as Shakib Al Hasan pulls to the fence for his first boundary.

To me, that says the only reason the wicket was given is because the trap broke.

Otherwise no one would have said there was an issue with the time.

The thing that fourth umpire Adrian Holdstock said that I take issue with is that Angelo Mathews had used up his two minutes before his chinstrap broke.

If that is the case then every batter in the tournament is timed out.

The Mathews dismissal will be talked about for a long time but the context of his game is very important with Champions Trophy qualification on the line.

    Good cricket this. Good contest!

  12. Ban 43-2published at 7 overs

There's loads of noise out there at the moment. Bangladesh are already eliminated and it is pretty unlikely that Sri Lanka will progress but there is a place at the Champions Trophy at stake.

There's even more noise as Shakib Al Hasan shovels a short ball into mid-wicket. He didn't look comfortable at all with that delivery. I'd expect a few more if I were you, Shakib.

The Bangladesh Captain. The man who's been the architect of the 'time out'. This could be interesting. Is he ready?

  14. Ban 41-2published at 6.3 overs

All good anon, Shakib Al Hasan is there and ready to go.

Angelo Mathews is walking in, clapping his hands and chirping already.

A wonderful delivery from Madushanka. He's been excellent and he strikes again!

Dilshan Madushanka strikes again! What a star he's been at this World Cup.

It's a full delivery from the left-armer, it swings in a bit and smashes Liton Das on the toe and he's plumb in front.

Madushanka now has 20 wickets in the tournament, making him the leading wicker-taker.

The end of the over eventually. Kasun Rajitha goes for 13 from his first, including those two Liton Das sixes.

Das should already be back in the changing room...
