Liton Das is, again, going to continue for now.

How long will he be able to keep going for though?

Angelo Mathews has wandered over for another chat and started crossing his arms over as if to say "you're not getting anymore time matey".

Adrian Holdstock is in the Bangladesh dugout speaking to the coaching staff now.

What about that for a shot? Disdainful from Liton Das.

A little shuffle towards the bowler then a baseball-style swat for a straight maximum.

    But Das is struggling again.

Bang! Back-to-back sixes for Liton Das.

He pulls Kasun Rajitha over square leg, before smacking him back over his head.

But uh oh. Das is down and needs treatment again. There is only a certain amount of time allowed for treatment and he has already had been looked over once.

Sri Lanka players, including captain Kusal Mendis and Angelo Mathews, speak to the umpires.

Charith Asalanka's might be the most overlooked century in World Cup history after the Angelo Mathews wicket.

Bit of movement for Madushanka, who is shaping the ball away from the left-hander nicely.

You can see why Sri Lanka have got a slip in.

A maiden from Dilshan Madushanka, who goes back to a fuller length after that drop off the shorter ball in his previous over.

Here's how he picked up the wicket of Tanzid Hasan.

Najmul Hossain Shanto has had a pretty disappointing tournament for Bangladesh, with his struggles summing up their campaign well.

He picks up his first boundary by slapping Maheesh Theekshana to the cover boundary.

This is a decent start for Bangladesh.

Liton Das was hobbling immediately after hitting that ball.

I wonder if there are any Sri Lankan players looking at stopwatches.

  11. ouch!

    Ban 23-1published at 3 overs

Liton Das has done himself some mischief playing that shot.

His studs may get stuck in the pitch as Das watches the shot and when he goes to move he's stuck and then grabs him calf in pain.

He's had some treatment and seems OK to continue for now.

He makes a real, real mess of that. That is a shocker.

    That should have been taken.

He's put it down. I thought he'd taken a stunning catch, he had it in his hands but it goes through and away for four.

    Oh no!

Liton Das takes on the short ball from Dilshan Madushanka. It only gets chest high but he can't stay in control of the shot.

Kusal Perera gets there at fine leg, but the ball ends up hitting his wrist and it goes through him and into the boundary.

Sometimes you need the presence of mind to realise that the ball isn't quite there for the shot.

All 11 Sri Lankans are up and about. I think this is going to be a cracking run chase with plenty of spice and energy.

Big breakthrough for Sri Lanka. Madushanka draws the false stroke from Tanzid Hasan, skies it and it's taken.

    Not a great shot.

Dilshan Madushanka strikes in the powerplay again!

Tanzid Hasan was playing a shot to every ball and looks to go again.

He doesn't time this one though and it goes straight up in the air. It is up there for a while but Pathum Nissanka settles himself underneath it in the covers and takes the catch.

  18. Ban 17-0published at 2 overs

Spin at the other end as Maheesh Theekshana takes the second new ball. He and Madushanka are Sri Lanka's premier bowlers so they'll be seeking early breakthroughs to get their side ahead of the game.

Theekshana starts on the pads and Liton Das is able to work into the leg side for his first boundary, before they watchfully milk him for two singles.

Tanzid Hasan picks up the first boundary of the innings in rather streaky fashion. He plays loosely at a wide ball, but gets enough connect to clear the infield and it races to the point boundary.

He then plays a gorgeous straight pull for another four. Superb strike that one.
