    Thanks, Callum.

It feels very even at this point between the two sides. Should this partnership continue, Afghanistan will feel in the driving seat, while Australia will be afforded similar luxuries with a quick wicket or two.

Who strikes first? Your move, Adam Zampa.

Interestingly Australia turn to the part-time spin of Travis Head. They essentially have to get 10 overs from Glenn Maxwell, Head, Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis - they've done five already.

They might end up needing more if Mitchell Starc continues to struggle I suppose.

Just three singles from Head's first over.

Time for me to grab a break. Jonty Colman will take you through the next phase.

  3. Afg 94-1published at 19 overs

Better control from Adam Zampa with three singles taken off the leggie.

Still no sign of that boundary off him that Michael Vaughan challenged Afghanistan to hit to better England.

This is not Starc-like at all.

Mitchell Starc's radar is not working at all. Alarms are going off.

    Afg 93-1

Streaky! Ibrahim Zadran has played some lovely strokes, this is not one of them. It's a thick outside edge from the Afghanistan opener but it flies past Josh Inglis and races away to the fence.

It is his second half-century of the tournament and comes up off 61 balls.

A loose over from Mitchell Starc all told, with four wides thrown in. Not sure you want to be bowling 10-ball overs in this heat, Mitch.

I passed Rashid Khan in the lift this morning, he smelled absolutely fantastic.

  8. Afg 80-1published at 17 overs

Adam Zampa continues after the drinks break and Afghanistan again milk him for four singles.

Former Australia skipper Aaron Finch is on the TV coverage and he said Zampa has too full in his first over. Him getting his length right is going to be crucial for Australia - he's looked like their genuine wicket-taker in this tournament.

Just joining us? Here's the one wicket to fall so far.

There's been a few contenders for shot of the day so far but this one may well be winning at the moment.

If you asked both captains right now are they happy, I think they would both say yes. Afghanistan have not lost early wickets and Australia have not conceded too many runs. Both teams will be happy.

  12. drinks break

    Afg 76-1published at 16 overs

A double change for Australia as Mitchell Starc comes back in for Pat Cummins. It's no surprise to see the Aussie skipper go off seeming we saw him in the changing room, looking exhausted after his three-over spell. He was deep in conversation with head coach Andrew McDonald, probably about how Australia can find some wickets.

Three singles from Starc's over and the players will take a well deserved drinks break. BBC weather says it is 33 degrees in Mumbai but before the start of the game the pundits were saying it was 39. Warm.

England only scored singles off Adam Zampa, can Afghanistan score a boundary against him?

  14. Afg 73-1published at 15 overs

A watchful and respectful start to Adam Zampa's bowling with five singles taken from the over.

Zampa has been outstanding for Australia at this World Cup. His lengths against England were immaculate.

Adam Zampa has taken 19 wickets at this World Cup at an average of just over 17 each. Only Dilshan Madushanka (21) has taken more.

Time for a change. Adam Zampa is replacing Glenn Maxwell.

He sways ever so slightly, opens the blade and does not put any momentum on it with his hands. It is a brilliant shot.

What a shot that is, brilliant batting.

  20. Afg 68-1published at 14 overs

Ibrahim Zadran has played beautifully so far. He picks up another boundary with an outrageous upper cut over the keeper off Pat Cummins. Superb stuff.

Afghanistan are only going at 4.86 runs per over at the moment, but no side has ever chased more than 284 at this stadium so they perhaps don't need to target 300-plus. Build gradually and keep wickets in hand and a total of around 280 is achievable.
