Hazlewood has tried to curl that one into the top corner hasn't he?
I don't think Josh Hazlewood is going to be getting a phone call from Big Ange anytime soon.
The quick has a chance to effect a run out at the striker's end as Afghanistan look to pinch a quick single.
There isn't time for Hazlewood to pick up and release so he has to kick it towards the stumps but ends up curling it high and wide, over the right of the stumps.
Poor finish.

It's been a good period for Afghanistan, they haven't wildly chased anything. They've picked their moments and chose the balls to attack.

I've been really impressed with Afghanistan throughout this whole World Cup. Prior to this World Cup, they had only won one World Cup match. They've already won four this year and that is potentially the benefit of having an experienced coach such as Jonathan Trott.
Mitchell Starc drops short for the first time and Rahmanullah Gurbaz doesn't look entirely comfortably playing it, but is able to just help it on its way for four more.
Gurbaz plays a gorgeous off-drive to end the over and feels it deserves a run so hurtles down to the non-striker's end. A direct hit from Pat Cummins and the Afghanistan opener might have been in trouble. He put in a superb dive though.

Good news for England fans, they are top of the catch efficiency table with 85%. It's another moral victory, get the trophy cabinet out.

Teams in World Cups say that don't mind who you play in the semi-finals, but you do and you don't want to play the strongest team. That strongest team is India, and they are at home.
Australia are packing the off-side field but Afghanistan are still finding the gaps.
A drive through backward point is only half-stopped by Glenn Maxwell and Josh Hazlewood is unhappy with the position of his fielder.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz then perfectly threads between cover and mid-off for a boundary.
This has been a steady start by Afghanistan.

Great balance, Zadran doesn't move. Straight off the front foot and through the bat.

It's been driven square for four, that's an incredible shot.
A little bit of movement from Mitchell Starc sees Rahmanullah Gurbaz inside edge onto this thigh pad, but then Starc overcompensates again and Gurbaz is able to work for three into the leg side.
No movement to end the over though and Ibrahim Zadran crashes a wide ball through the covers for the first boundary. Superb strike, it made a lovely noise off the bat.

When Gurbaz came out against England, he got Afghanistan off to an electric start. Can he do the same here?
As you'd expect from Josh Hazlewood. Bang on the money straight away from the tall Australia quick and just a single from his first over.

It's quite a solid start from Afghanistan. We shouldn't describe them as minnows, they are a quality team. They need to keep composed here and if they do that, they will pressure Australia.
The pitch looks like a beauty already, you can see it is a good pitch.

It's not great running, but it's not great fielding. It does not go to the right end.
Mitchell Starc hasn't had the impact in the powerplay that he can in this tournament. He hasn't been helped by a lack of movement so far, but he's found some early on here.
There's some in-swing to start, before an absolute beauty straightens and then leaves Ibrahim Zadran. Good luck playing that.
Starc overcompensates though and Ibrahim is able to pick up three through square leg, despite being a bit hesitant to get back for the final run.
Mitchell Starc is going to bowl the first over, after someone removes a water bottle from in front of the sightscreen.
National anthems done, including a very animated Marnus Labuschagne with his eyes closed, throwing his head back.
Australia have taken the field, and the Afghanistan openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran are making their way out.
As mentioned in my opening post Australia are now five from five after two defeats in their opening two matches.
Their latest win came over England on Saturday.
Afghanistan have picked up wins over England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands in this World Cup.
Those last three have come in successive games to give Jonathan Trott's side a chance of reaching the semi-finals for the first time.
Here's how the swept aside the Dutch on Friday for a seven-wicket win.
