Rehan Ahmed is in this team to fill the massive boots of Adil Rashid. And he’s started well.

England are piling on the pressure now.

The boundaries have dried up and Rehan Ahmed and Liam Livingstone are whizzing through their overs.

Ahmed, in particular, has looked threatening. One of those bowlers where every ball feels like a big event.

This is a critical passage for West Indies. Buttler is going to squeeze with his spinners. Don’t forget he’s also got Will Jacks to bowl off-spin. Could get 30 overs out of spin if he wants to.

A key passage of play for West Indies here. The run-rate is creeping above seven but with an inexperienced middle order, they've got to keep wickets in hand.

With so many of their big names playing franchise cricket elsewhere, it's going to be a challenge.

Mirroring England's innings, West Indies lose both their openers in successive overs!

The sweep costs Brandon King as well, with Livingstone getting one to keep low and burst through bat and pad.

Captain Shai Hope comes to the crease with his team in trouble, all of a sudden.

Keacy Carty has been promoted up the order to three for just the second time in 17 ODI appearances, having also come in at four, five, six and seven during his ODI career.

Keacy Carty plays out three dot balls to conclude Rehan Ahmed's successful over. The 19-year-old has 1-14 from his four overs so far.

    A much-needed breakthrough!

Alick Athanaze's stylish innings comes to an end and he looks gutted. He attempts another sweep but Rehan Ahmed gets the ball to skid under the bat and striking the batter on the pad.

He contemplates a review but it probably wasn't worth it. It's the wicket that England were desperate for.

Oh dear. Liam Livingstone, one of England's players with a big point to prove in this series, starts with a poor delivery down the leg side that Brandon King can easily sweep for four.

Alick Athanaze also connects with a sweep and gets yet another boundary, bringing up a fine century partnership in the process.

Long way to go yet, but these two have started brilliantly.

Much better from England as Rehan Ahmed's over goes for just three.

West Indies can afford a couple of steady middle overs. England's 325 was set up by a very explosive start and finish, with a rather "old-school" middle overs sandwiched in the middle.

  11. WI 92-0published at 15 overs

    Boundaries are flowing.

England are matching the inconsistency that West Indies' own seamers provided in their innings.

Having been flayed through the off side, Brydon Carse drops too short and Athanaze launches it over mid-wicket.

The batter then expertly uses the pace to dab one down to deep third for the third boundary of the over.

We saw in England’s innings how batting got increasingly hard after the balls had gone softer, but nonetheless, Buttler will be getting a little twitchy. Atkinson threatened briefly but otherwise progress has been fairly serene for the West Indies openers.

    A lovely way to reach a half-century.

Alick Athanaze reaches a run-a-ball 52 with more wonderful timing, carving four runs past point.

He's looked solid from the very beginning and hasn't been overly flashy, just putting away the bad balls.

Brandon King bravely takes on the sweep to Rehan Ahmed, but connects nicely to get four runs through mid-wicket.

He's just started to find his rhythm and is playing a very handy supporting role to Alick Athanaze, who has been fluent from ball one.

It has been a decent start by West Indies but they are still behind England's rate, who made that flying start through Will Jacks and Phil Salt.

Wow! Where did that come from?!

Brandon King has been struggling to hit the ball off the square but he latches on to a short ball from Brydon Carse, and times it to perfection for a flat six over square leg.

That was hit very firmly indeed.

  17. WI 62-0published at 12 overs

Oh dear, it's not Sam Curran's day in the field.

Alick Athanaze drives nonchalantly off Rehan Ahmed's first ball, just aiming to take a look at a couple of balls, but some awkward bounce deceives Curran and gives away a single.

Brandon King misses out on a sweep, is pinned on the pad which draws a stifled appeal but it's going down leg.

No real signs of turn for Rehan yet but we did see plenty of grip and inconsistent bounce for the West Indies' spinners, so he'll still be hoping to play a big part.

Big moment in the game as England turn to spin now the powerplay is done. Will WI let Rehan settle, or might they look to get after him?

Solid from Brydon Carse, just four singles coming from his over.

It's not been quite as explosive or as entertaining as England's start was, but it's been steady - and most importantly, wicketless - and that's just what West Indies needed.
