  1. dropped catch

Woakes dropped on 1published at 18 overs

    Eng 167-6

West Indies' catching has been excellent tonight but they've put one down.

A leading edge from Chris Woakes loops into the covers, Jason Holder gets around and dives for it.

He makes it but the ball slips through. Still an excellent over from Romario Shepherd.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17.1 overs

    Curran c Joseph b Shepherd 13 (Eng 165-6)

    Another fantastic catch!

Sam Curran tries to make it three sixes in a row for England but he doesn't get this one out of the middle and Alzarri Joseph comes around from long off to take a very good catch above his head.

Romario Shepherd has been the pick of the West Indies bowlers and he's got his second wicket.

  3. 6 runs

    Eng 165-5published at 17 overs

    Six more!

And this one is massive from Liam Livingstone as he powers the ball over long off to give England some much-needed momentum going into the last three overs.

  4. 6 runs

    Eng 159-5published at 16.5 overs

West Indies' seamers have varied their pace superbly since the powerplay and that is part of what has made it so difficult for the England batters after that rapid start.

Pace off doesn't always work, though! Liam Livingstone picks the slower bouncer from Jason Holder and pulls away for six.

  5. Eng 148-5published at 16 overs

After two incredibly expensive overs earlier on, Alzarri Joseph is one ball away from getting through a boundary-free set.

However, he is made to pay for a couple of wides as Liam Livingstone hammers the last ball back down the ground for four.

That went like a tracer bullet.

  6. Eng 139-5published at 15 overs

It is quite tricky to gauge where we're at with this innings because of the way it has gone.

Did West Indies' sloppy start allow England to get off to such a good that even with their fightback, the tourists are still on for a good score?

Or is this a good enough pitch that England needed to keep going at 10 an over and have let West Indies back in?

Perhaps it has all just balanced out and Jos Buttler's side are headed for a par score.

  7. Eng 135-5published at 14 overs

It's an impressive over from Romario Shepherd but it ends with a boundary as Sam Curran times a pull shot to perfection.

He nails it in front of square and it beats the diving fielder to reach the deep mid-wicket boundary.

England need to be a touch careful here, though. After an opening stand of 77, they lost five wickets for 52.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13.1 overs

    Duckett c Hosein b Shepherd (Eng 129-5)

    Tame dismissal for Ben Duckett.

Slower ball from Romario Shepherd and Duckett is across his stumps looking for the ramp.

The ball is pushed very wide of his off stump, though, so Duckett has to go for the reverse ramp and, with no pace on the ball, he just chips it to Akeal Hosein at short third.

  9. Eng 129-4published at 13 overs

It's singles all the way for England in the last over of Akeal Hosein's spell.

He is done with figures of 1-32 from his four overs. Tidy stuff and the run-rate drips fractionally below 10 for the first time since the third over.

  10. Eng 123-4published at 12 overs

Liam Livingstone is in at six for England and after losing three wickets in four overs, the visitors may look to consolidate for an over or two now.

They still have batting to come but they'll want enough in hand to really go for it in the last four or five overs.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.1 overs

    Brook c Pooran b Holder 1 (Eng 120-4)

West Indies just keep chipping away.

It's two wides to start the over but Jason Holder gets it right third time with a slower ball that Harry Brook has a swipe at.

The England man gets a feather behind and it's a simple catch for Nicholas Pooran.

  12. Eng 118-3published at 11 overs

    Good over from Akeal Hosein.

The wicket probably came from the worst ball of it but it did the trick. In form or not, Jos Buttler is a big wicket.

Harry Brook is the new batter and gets off the mark with a single.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 10.5 overs

    Buttler c Hetmyer b Hosein 39 (Eng 117-3)

An important wicket for West Indies.

Akeal Hosein strikes in his first over back. There is a bit of grip for him and perhaps that is what does for Jos Buttler.

The England skipper goes back and tries to launch the ball over the leg side.

He completely mistimes it, though, and Shimron Hetmyer comes in from deep mid-wicket to take the catch.

Phil Salt and Jos Buttler got England off to a brilliant start.

West Indies have taken two wickets since the powerplay but Buttler is still there and England are going at 11.20 an over.

  15. Eng 112-2published at 10 overs

The England batters are able to rotate the strike between that Ben Duckett boundary.

Nine from the Romario Shepherd over. Halfway through the innings and the visitors are on course for a big total.

  16. Eng 109-2published at 9.3 overs

    Duckett 6, Buttler 35

Slightly fortuitous but Ben Duckett won't mind.

He tries to carve the ball through point, gets a thick outside edge and the ball beats the two fielders behind square and runs away for four.

  17. Eng 103-2published at 9 overs

Super square drive from Jos Buttler and the ball races to the fence. That brings up the 100 for England.

Alzarri Joseph has gone for 43 in his first two overs. The wicket makes those figures look marginally better at least.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8.3 overs

    Jacks c King b Joseph 17 (Eng 98-2)

Another one that goes a long, long way up - but this time Will Jacks doesn't have the distance.

Brandon King runs after it from extra cover and takes a very good catch because that ball came down with snow on it!

It perhaps wasn't quite there for the shot over mid-off and Alzarri Joseph has wicket to ease his pain after being pummelled so far.

  19. Eng 98-1published at 8.2 overs

A bit of relief for Alzarri Joseph as he gets his yorker right for the free hit.

    Dot ball.

  20. 6 runs

    Eng 98-1published at 8.1 overs

Alzarri Joseph is back after a change of ends... and Will Jacks launches his first ball back over his head for six!

The ball went a very long way up and just long enough to clear the rope.

Six more! Top-edge hook over the wicketkeeper this time but again it sails over the rope.

And that was a no-ball, too. Free hit...
