  1. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warwks 189-3 v Worcs 360

    Maiden over from Nathan Smith.

Big appeal for LBW from Adam Finch against Ed Barnard, who plays and misses across the line. Not out.

The ball might have been doing a bit too much.

The second ball is glanced through fine leg for four and that's a 61-ball 50 with nine fours and a six.

He celebrates with a textbook cover drive for four next ball.

He has 23 half centuries in first class cricket now - and don't discount a sixth career century later today.

    That's tea.

  2. 'Middlesex have decent chance of survival'published at 16:24 British Summer Time 6 April

    Middlesex 47-0 v Glamorgan 620-3 dec

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Spectators at Lord’s are recovering from the excitement of Glamorgan’s early afternoon blitz when Sam Northeast set a new first-class record at Lord’s, reaching 335 not out before calling a halt to Middlesex’s punishment.

He and Colin Ingram, with 132 not out, ran riot in the closing stages of their innings with Middlesex literally and physically on the ropes.

But Sam Robson and Mark Stoneman looked pretty untroubled in the 19 overs before tea despite the risk of scoreboard pressure and the probing of newcomers Mir Hamza and Craig Miles.

Plenty to remember already from the day from a Welsh point of view, but Middlesex have a decent chance of survival if they keep their heads.

  3. Foxes past 300published at 16:24 British Summer Time 6 April

    Yorks v Leics 303-8

Ben Mike edges through where third slip would have been to grab another four that takes Leicestershire past 300. Mike and Scriven have batted immpresively to add 88 so far.

  4. Bad light stops play at Hovepublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 6 April

    Sussex v Northants 292-7

We had hoped to be getting the final session of play for Day Two underway by now, but the clouds have closed in somewhat in the last 20 minutes.

More news as we get it.

  5. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warwks 181-3 v Worcs 360

Barnard clips Finch to fine leg for one to move to 47.

Moseley will keep the strike with a push into the off side off the last ball for one.

  6. 'Holder couldn't believe it'published at 16:17 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warwks 179-3 v Worcs 360

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire

Will Rhodes just dangled his bat out and I don't think Jason Holder could quite believe it when the ball came to him.

He just really poked at it in the air.

Holder was cool as you like in taking that.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Josh Bohannonpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 6 April

    Lancs 111-2 v Surrey

Josh Bohannon drives a full toss from Dan Lawrence for four, and one delivery later nudges a single to move to his half century.

It came off 89 deliveries, with six fours.

  9. wicket

WICKET Rhodes c Holder b Smith 64published at 16:11 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warwks 179-3 v Worcs 360

    Out of nowhere!

Nathan Smith has his first wicket for Worcestershire.

It's a short ball from Smith which Will Rhodes tries to ramp to third man - and subsequently taps it to Jason Holder, the lone slip fielder at around third slip.

Dan Mousley is in for the Bears.

  10. Tea at Canterburypublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 6 April

    Kent 235-8 v Somerset

Another interesting session at Canterbury, with four more wickets for a cost of 135 runs.

Half centuries for Harry Finch and Joey Evison, but Somerset have taken enough wickets to feel they made the right call in inserting Kent this morning.

  11. dropped catch

Barnard dropped on 42published at 16:08 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warwks 172-2 v Worcs 360

Pears captain Brett D'Oliveira has brought himself on to bowl and Ed Barnard sweeps him square for two fours.

He gets away with four more hacked just over a diving Adam Hose at first slip.

    He move on to 46.

  12. Postpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 6 April

    Lancs 106-2 v Surrey

Kemar Roach gets things under way after tea, and George Balderson greets him with a pearler of a cover drive for an early four.

  13. Tea at Lord'spublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 6 April

    Middlesex 47-0 v Glamorgan 620-3 dec

Understandably all a bit after the Lord's Mayor Show at Lord's following Sam Northeast's incredible 335 not out.

But from a Middlesex perspective, Sam Robson and Mark Stoneman have done their job in batting 19 overs through to tea.

  14. Tea at Hovepublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 6 April

    Sussex v Northants 292-7

A promising session of play for Sussex, who cut through much of the Northants middle order this afternoon after a tough morning session.

Lewis McManus survives on 22 not out and will need to shepherd the tail to get as far beyond 300 as possible, no doubt with one eye on how this pitch might play in the fourth innings after signs of turn for Jack Carson and James Coles.

  15. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 6 April

    Notts 193-4 v Essex 253

Nottinghamshire's session, Joe Clarke and Jack Haynes are on 59 and 58 respectively after adding 93 since the fall of Matt Montgomery early after lunch.

  16. 'A real bonus wicket for Sussex'published at 16:02 British Summer Time 6 April

    Sussex v Northants 292-7

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

That's a really, really fine catch by Oli Carter who is in there at short leg.

John Simpson makes the change at bowling, we thought it might happen and Saif Zaib is on his way.

I think he may have changed his shot and the ball ballooned away, probably off the glove and Oli Carter with a very good catch diving for it at short leg.

A real bonus wicket for Sussex and James Coles has picked up a couple of wickets this innings.

  17. 50 runs

for Joey Evisonpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 6 April

    Kent 230-8 v Somerset

Joey Evison is really holding this Kent lower-order together, and he has a hard job on his hands with Matt Parkinson and then George Garrett to come.

But Evison has moved past 50, off 67 balls with six fours and a six.

He will be determined to lead the total to 250 and secure at least one batting point.

  18. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 6 April

    Yorks v Leics 296-8

Leicestershire are battling away and frustrating Yorkshire, Ben Mike is on 58 and Tom Scriven is on 31. They've added 81 for the ninth wicket so far.

  19. Parkinson at no.10 for Kentpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 6 April

    Kent 226-8 v Somerset

Now it would be unfair to write off the batting credentials of new Kent seamer George Garrett.

But Matt Parkinson has strode to the crease at number 10.

Anyway who saw Parkinson bat for Lancashire would describe him as the archetypal rabbit at number 11.

  20. dropped catch

Rhodes dropped on 50published at 15:58 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warwks 159-2 v Worcs 360

Lift and movement for Adam Finch outside off and the ball flies off the edge of the bat of Will Rhodes - and bursts through the hands of a diving second slip above head height.

Very tough chance. But it was a chance.

    Rhodes runs three.
