    We've got our first gold of the day at the athletics...

    Wheelchair racer Raymond Martin, who won four golds at London 2012, has been beaten in the men's T52 100m final.

    Italian Gianfranco Iannotta triumphed in 17.17 seconds with Martin, who was targeting another four golds, getting the silver in 17.25.

    Cheering on GB triathlete Andy Lewis will be Pollyanna Hope. She's 11 years old and when she was two she lost her right leg below the knee in a bus accident. 

    She's made a truly beautiful video, busting out some dance moves and wishing Andy, as well as other ParalypicsGB athletes, the best of luck in Rio.

    It's half-time here and GB are being overrun by this Ukraine side.

    Ukraine are the number one team here with banned Russia dropping out.

    They've really tested GB's defence and it's credit to Britain's goalkeeper Giles Moore that it's only 1-0.

    GB will really be looking for some inroads as they come out for the second half.

    Para-rower Tom Aggar was happy after winning the repechage to reach Sunday's AS single sculls final.

    Aggar, who won gold in Beijing and finished fourth at London 2012, said: "Obviously I wanted to go out strong in the early part of  the race and then hold onto it. 

    "Credit to the American guy he fought for it in the first half as I knew he would. I'm just glad to get through to the final but it’s going to be tough from here."

    Baroness Tanni-Grey Thompson is right behind PT4 triathlete George Peasgood. 

    The Briton is currently just two seconds behind German Martin Schulz. 

    They are on the fourth and final lap of the cycling with the run to come.

    We're on lap three of the cycling in the PT2 event and Andy Lewis is fifth.

    Jonnie Peacock talking to the BBC in Rio today after retaining gold in last night's T44 100m final:

    The world number one had said before the race he was  "not the favourite".

    "It still doesn't quite feel real to be honest with you," said the 23-year-old, who had his right leg amputated below the knee after contracting meningitis aged five.

    "I came out here to do a job, and now that job is completed I guess there is a sense of relief. It took me a while to get to sleep last night, but I'm just over the moon.

    "It is ecstasy, a euphoria of emotions.

    "The last 10 or 15 minutes I did tighten up, I did look to check there was no one coming through and when I saw I'd actually done it again...it is just like a dream to be honest."

    Another Chinese Para-cyclist has gone faster still - Zhenling Song clocking 40.020 seconds to go into the gold-medal position in the C1-2-3 500m time trial.

    It means the best Megan Giglia can do is bronze.

    Good news for Great Britain - George Peasgood was first into transition after the swim, 33 seconds clear of his nearest rival. 

    David Hill is 6th - 1.23 minutes back.

    In the PT2, Andy Lewis is third, 53 seconds behind Mark Barr of the USA but Ryan Taylor is 10th and has ground to make up.

    At the velodrome it's nearly time for Megan Giglia, who won Britain's first gold of these Games on Thursday.

    She is going in the women's C1-2-3 500m time trial, having triumphed in the C1-2-3 3000m individual pursuit on day one.

    She's the world champion in this event.

    A shock in the pool as Brazil's Paralympic poster boy - Daniel Dias - is beaten in the S5 men's 50m butterfly heats by China's He Shiwei, who clocks 35.74 seconds.

    Dias, a 10-time P:aralympic gold medallist, is over a second back with Britain's Andrew Mullen third  in 38.19.
