    We know who Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini wants to buy before the window shuts - Porto pair Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando - but he is not giving much away at his press conference ahead of Monday's game with Chelsea.

    Pellegrini said: "For the moment, there is no transfer news. There may be business but I have no news at the moment."

    Cardiff have closed out another deal. Brazilian full-back Fabio, 23, has joined from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee and goes into their squad for Saturday's game with Norwich.

    It is not a transfer but this is still big news: Manchester City say their striker Sergio Aguero is out for a month with the hamstring injury he suffered against Tottenham.

    February is a pretty big month for City - it means Aguero will miss two clashes with Chelsea in the Premier League and FA Cup, and also sit out the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Barcelona.

    Everton have increased their goalkeeping cover by signing 17-year-old Czech Republic shot-stopper Jindrich Stanek from Sparta Prague. The 6ft 4in Stanek has joined for an undisclosed fee and signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

    League One Walsall have completed the loan signing of Liverpool striker Michael Ngoo until the end of the season.

    The England Under-20 International, 21, has been at Liverpool since 2009 and was a target for Walsall's league rivals Swindon Town.

    What have been the most talked about moves of the transfer window so far on the web/social media? Since 1 January in the UK, Manchester United and Chelsea have been the most searched for clubs on Google, with six of the top 10 searched for players this transfer window involving transfers from one of the two clubs. Juan Mata was searched 7.5m times, Anderson 3.1m and Mohamed Salah searched for more than 2m.

    Juan Mata has also dominated social media chatter on Twitter, with more than 4.5m mentions in the week around his move to Manchester United. To put that figure into perspective, over the course of the 2013 transfer window, Gareth Bale's world-record transfer to Real Madrid amassed 8.4m mentions on Twitter, followed by Mesut Ozil with 4.3m mentions.

    Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed a deal has been agreed for Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths. Now the 23-year-old striker just needs to pass his medical before completing the move.

    Lennon said: "He's here, the deal's agreed & subject to a medical, he'll hopefully be a Celtic player by the time window closes. He knows the environment, he's a prolific goal-scorer and I think that we can make him better. He'll be a good asset to the club."

    Not sure how much we should read into this, but Porto have announced their squad, external for their next Primeira Liga game away at Madeira on Saturday, and it makes interesting reading.

    It could be a case of good news and bad news for Manchester City, with Eliaquim Mangala named in the travelling party while fellow target Fernando is ruled out, apparently with a muscle injury.

    Is Fernando feeling a twinge because his heart is set on a move to the Etihad Stadium, or is the Brazilian midfielder genuinely injured? We will probably find out in the next few hours...

    Hello and welcome to the transfer deadline day party. I am your host for the next couple of hours and, by the looks of things, it is just getting started. From Monaco to Manchester City, and Liverpool too, some of the richest clubs in Europe looking to flash their cash before the window slams shut.

    Arsenal fans are no doubt delighted to be involved this year too, although I am not sure they will be so thrilled when they learn the deal that Arsene Wenger is trying to push through is for a 31-year-old Spartak Moscow midfielder on loan, not to buy Julian Draxler for £40m.
