Bencarthy Bennett:, external Well, as an Arsenal fan, I can only say Jose knows and Arsene doesn't.

Burnley took a giant step towards a return to the Premier League tonight with a 1-0 win over Barnsley at Oakwell, Burnley manager Sean Dyche spoke to BBC Radio 5 live after the game: "It was a team fighting for their lives and we had to be resilient and we knew our moment of quality would come in the end.

"It was very professional from the players, especially in our shape and intensity throughout the game. Tom Heaton didn't have a shot to save and that was outstanding from the back four, I'm delighted that Danny Ings got 90 minutes and now we're just looking for the next game. I've told the players to be prepared and get ready for the next game."

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, speaking to Sky Sports: "It is right up there with the Napoli game in 2012. We had to win by two goals. We have been brilliant from start to finish and dealt with their counters quite well. We had to risk a lot in the second half. The best thing was that no-one let their heads drop even though we hit the bar twice. You need everyone to make sure they are fully concentrated. In the end the last five minutes were frantic. We had to make sure everyone was up to the task."

Here's more from Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who was speaking to Sky Sports: "You always believe. It is part of our nature. You know how football is. Nobody was expecting the third goal in Paris. Why not us to score tonight?

"Our midfield was tired and broken. In France they dominated. The style of French football has nothing to do with this direct approach. We had a moment of luck. Demba got a goal that means a lot to all of us.

"We gave everything. My four defenders were brilliant. The midfield were animals. Luiz was a monster. Our forwards were brave.

When asked if Eden Hazard, who was substituted in the first half, was OK: "No. He was feeling something in his calf and said he couldn't go on."

Indeed, Maf. Borussia Dortmund were very, very good tonight and, for large parts, played Real Madrid off the park...

It's a great effort from David Luiz to get three faces and two incredible mops of hair into the picture at arm's length.

What happened after the game then? Well, Jose is likely to have phoned his wife to tell her the score and David Luiz? Well, he took a selfie of course.

"Tonight Chelsea scored from a long throw-in and a long hopeful ball forward, sometimes it's not rocket science and PSG were done with two simple goals. Chelsea didn't have too many chances against them and they were basic goals for PSG to concede, defensively it was very disappointing from PSG."

Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a fantastic game. It was an unbelievable feeling. There was no pressure on us because PSG were through.

"We needed patience to wait for the final goal in the last three minutes. We hit the bar twice, but we never gave up. Jose Mourinho knew the situation. He gave a few speeches to us. He told us to be patient."

"If there's a way to win, Chelsea always seem to find it. Paris St-Germain have a lot to learn in Europe. You can throw a lot of money at it, as they have done, but the fact is that Jose Mourinho knows how to win.

"When Spurs played at Anfield in the Premier League the other week, I thought Liverpool would win because there was something in the air. And there was something at Stamford Bridge tonight. It's not just about tactics, it's about learning to keep your nerve, and you know you need that luck."

  13. Championship updatepublished at 22:06 British Summer Time 8 April 2014

The Championship promotion picture is looking a little clearer now that the full-time whistle has gone at Bloomfield Road, where Derby have moved up to third with a 3-1 win at Blackpool.

Leaders Leicester were already up before losing 4-1 at home to Brighton. Burnley have moved 11 points clear in the second automatic promotion spot by winning 1-0 at Barnsley, while QPR drop to fourth after losing 2-0 at Blackburn.

It means that Burnley need a maximum of five points to secure a place in next season's Premier League - and could go up on Saturday if they beat Middlesbrough and Derby lose at home to Huddersfield.

Having watched a replay of the goal celebration, I can confirm Jose was just throwing bodies off Dema Ba and Fernando Torres so he could speak to them. Either that, or he's not a fan of the old-fashioned pile-on.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, speaking to ITV: "I didn't go to the corner flag to celebrate. I went to tell them the changes we had to make. There were three minutes plus extra-time left and the way we were playing was too risky.

"I wanted Demba Ba to play in front of the defenders and Fernando Torres to defend Maxwell. I tried to use them in different jobs.

"I think we did enough at beginning of the second-half to score before we did. The contradiction of what they (PSG) are and what they wanted to do. In the second-half it was pure ball possession. But it was difficult for us to penetrate. We did it in training yesterday, with three different systems, all of which we used. The players knew what they had to do. Demba Ba made a crucial finish for us.

"It was very much deserved that the team that tried to defend was punished. The team that played with their heart deserved to go through."

"It wasn't tactically sophisticated tonight, it was about getting lots of forwards into the box - but that was the answer. I thought PSG would be a lot better. They didn't look like a team, they looked like a group of individuals. But it takes time. Manchester City have spent fabulous amounts of money, but it does take a while for that to bring success.

"I think Laurent Blanc made mistakes - his set-up was too open at times, and he will learn. It takes more than money to win the Champions League. It takes nous as well."

  17. Talking tacticspublished at 21:59 British Summer Time 8 April 2014

Tactics expert Michael Cox, speaking on BBC Radio 5 live: "Mourinho put on two strikers and two midfielders and PSG responded with an extra centre-back, it wasn't very pretty but it was effective. Even though he had two strikers on Chelsea still had a good shape, PSG sat deeper and deeper and the goal seemed inevitable at the time.

"I thought the 3-1 in the first leg flattered PSG, really I think they'll have to bring in a couple of players on the back of this.

"They need a midfielder who can dominate that side and someone like Cabaye could come in. They need a physical presence alongside Cavani because they didn't really dominate tonight."

Chelsea defender John Terry, speaking to ITV: "We gave ourselves a chance by not conceding. We had to hit the big man and he scores. This competition means a lot to us. The experiences we have had keeps you fighting and believing. Winning it was the best feeling ever. These big performances are what we live for.

"Everyone doubted us tonight but we showed great character and fight to come back. It all paid off."

Ian, Whitley Bay: Love how everyone's bigging up Dortmund and their passion, but it's Chelsea and their spot-on tactics who are going through.

Billy, London: There's something beautifully entertaining about watching Chelsea under Jose Mourinho. There's a special relationship between that Portuguese man and that London club.

Rob, Nottingham: As an Arsenal fan, I hope the players and Wenger were watching. Maybe they could learn a thing or two. Chelsea's effort was great to watch. They really wanted it. Well done to Chelsea.
