Richard: Bored of hearing this no European football an advantage thing. Tell me the last club who won the league without playing in Europe? Exactly.

Arthur: All the people saying Liverpool are winning because they haven't played European football. Why doesn't that happen every season then?

Tonie: A busy schedule is part of being a successful, it clearly made Liverpool's run-in easier, but you still have to win games!

Joe Allen is everywhere at the moment - doubling up as an extra full-back when needed, making crucial blocks in the sweeper position and all while driving forward whenever Liverpool have the ball. It's possibly the best I've seen him play in a Liverpool shirt. Agree?

Seven minutes to go in the first half as Nathan Redmond, now deployed on the right, flashes a cross over the bar from a tight angle.

Neil Davies:, external Steven Gerrard deserves this crack at the title. He's resisted moving to stick with the club he loves. One of a dying breed?

Andrew Worby:, external Steven Gerrard has never won a title because Liverpool have not been good enough before, people should stop acting like he is entitled to it.

Matt Harding:, external If Roy Hodgson's watching he must play Gerrard in a deep role for England. In fact he should just pick as many Liverpool players as possible.

Norwich are seeing more of the ball now but, at 2-0 up, Liverpool are happy to let the hosts play it about in their own half before pressing them back the moment they pass the halfway line. The Premier League leaders are dominant, and appear to have an extra gear if needed.

Nick: Liverpool have been fantastic since January but with European football and a run in a cup they wouldn't be where they are now. Played 15 games less than Arsenal, Chelsea, City and even the (mighty) Manchester United!

Harry: You can't say Liverpool have been gifted the title by other teams, we still play the best football.

James: Anyone who thought Norwich would do anything today is daft. Never going to happen.

And Norwich continue to pose a threat going forward as Nathan Redmond's swerving long-range shot is beaten clear by Simon Mignolet.

Good defending from Martin Skrtel clears the danger as Robert Snodgrass drives a cross into the six-yard box following Mamadou Sakho's poor mistake in allowing the Canaries in.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

A deserved yellow card for Robert Snodgrass as he clatters into Joe Allen. However, Liverpool complain the referee should have played the advantage because they had raced into a two-on-two attack at the other end. Luis Suarez is particularly upset.

Good text from Matt, below. If Liverpool were a boxer they would have a record of 24 wins (at a guess, 12 inside the distance courtesy of early knockout).

    Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy

"I know Norwich need points but they need to set up a bit more cautiously and plug the spaces that Liverpool use so effectively. I don't understand why they have set up as they have against a team so in form."

Aetesam in London: After all the speculation of the title going down to the wire it seems Liverpool, rather inexplicably, are going to win at a canter.

Matt in London: Liverpool are the Mike Tyson of the Premier League this season; incredible both offensively and defensively, they are simply going to batter their way to the title in the most uncompromising manner possible. Nothing can stop them when they're like this.

Tom in Long Sutton: Liverpool will be like Wolfsburg, Montpellier or even Atletico Madrid. One shockingly good domestic season and a title win, to be followed by a decline to sit below the elite teams in their rightful place the next season.

Joe Allen is having a storming game, this time the all-action midfielder advancing forward and slicing a shot just wide of John Ruddy's goal.

  14. How's stat?published at 12:26 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

Opta: The last time a Liverpool player scored 30 league goals in a season (Ian Rush 1986-87), current Norwich manager Neil Adams won the title (with Everton).

Russell Wadey:, external Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen may of been overpriced but in the opening 20 minutes he's shown he's worth every penny.

Kurt Booth:, external Norwich: simultaneously gifting Liverpool the title and shooting their own survival in the foot. Now that's how you multitask!

Alex Gardner:, external Liverpool and Sunderland doing massive favours for each other in these final games.

Liverpool refuse to sacrifice their short passing game even when Norwich press them back into their own penalty area. Simon Mignolet and Jon Flanagan play their way out of trouble this time. The Belgian keeper looks like he could do a job in midfield.

Jamie Moor:, external I can't see Liverpool losing the title now they're unstoppable. And no one deserves it more than Steven Gerrard.

Jay:, external Liverpool's movement is frightening, I have no idea what formation they at playing or who is playing where.

Craig Hazell:, external I might get some stick for this but I'd seriously consider taking Jon Flanagan to Brazil.

Norwich are having their best spell of the game, as they bring winger Nathan Redmond into the game. The ex-Birmingham wideman wins a free-kick to the left of the penalty area. swings it in himself but it's easily cleared by the Liverpool defence.

Chris in Peterborough: Liverpool have played only 10 minutes of football and have already won their third game of the week. Thanks for coming Norwich. Premier League champions in all but name now, surely?

Tom in Sheffield: Liverpool should try to score at least two more with Man City's goal difference in mind.

Mo in Liverpool: I was actually excited waiting for this game, 15 minutes in I could have a nap. No one will stop us now!

Maybe Joe Allen is worth £40m after all [1154]. The Liverpool midfielder is a force in both boxes at the moment - making two key interceptions to prevent Gary Hooper getting a shot away in the six-yard box.
