David Baxter:, external All this talk of this being a potential banana skin for Liverpool today at Norwich is ridiculous. This will be 7-0 or 8-0.

Stephen Maguire:, external Liverpool don't mess about do they!? Their fans must be loving it this season.

Paul Thompson:, external We go again- we win again. What an incredible story Liverpool have been this season.

Former Liverpool first-team coach Kevin Keen: "Norwich's defending for that goal left a lot to be desired. I really fear for Norwich - they could be in for a long afternoon. I know it seems like an eternity ago but keeping hold of Luis Suarez has been so crucial for Liverpool.

"I expected more bite in the tackle and from Norwich and a bit more from the crowd but Liverpool have killed that. The possession stats must be ridiculous."

  5. Postpublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

Former Norwich City winger Darren Eadie on BBC Radio Norfolk: "If Norwich end up losing the game, which you would expect them to do now, they have to make sure they don't concede too many as they need to keep an eye on their goal difference. It looks so easy for Liverpool. Norwich have given the ball away too cheaply."

  6. GOALpublished at 12:10 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

Beautiful in its simplicity, and Liverpool are 2-0 up. An innocuous ball down the channel is picked up by Raheem Sterling, who eventually plays the ball across the box for Luis Suarez to sidefoot home from 10 yards and notch his 30th of the season. Who else?

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:10 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

This is like watching a boxer come out swinging from the very first bell. Liverpool just go for the throat from the off and Joe Allen brings a fine save out of John Ruddy as the Reds continue to pour forward.

Former Norwich City winger Darren Eadie on BBC Radio Norfolk: "You watch how brilliant Liverpool move when they attack and that's what Norwich need to look at and try to do. Norwich also need to try to get crosses in as we do know Liverpool concede goals."

A brief moment of alarm for Norwich when Raheem Sterling goes tumbling near Leroy Fer in the penalty area. Thankfully for the Canaries, there was little in the way of a penalty appeal from Liverpool. At the other end, Gary Hooper heads over from six yards out under pressure from two markers.

Former Liverpool first-team coach Kevin Keen: "It was an incredible finish from Raheem Sterling. It's only a few minutes in and Norwich have hardly touched the ball. The shot from Sterling was brilliant and he went straight over to celebrate with his manager.

"But Sunderland showed yesterday how Norwich should deal with this situation. But the way they have started the game I can't see anything other than a Liverpool win. It's a tough afternoon for them."

  11. GOALpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

What a goal! Liverpool are like a runaway train at the moment - nobody can stop them as Raheem Sterling picks up the ball 35 yards from goal, cuts inside Bradley Johnson then lashes home a right-footed shot, via a deflection off Michael Turner. This boy can play.

  12. Postpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

Liverpool are zipping the ball about nicely as they look for another flying start. Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling are looking particularly lively as they are given freedom to play wherever they want just behind the central striker.

Rob in Wandsworth: Looking at that Liverpool bench it is painfully weak with attacking talent. They can just about cope with Henderson and Sturridge's absences on the first team, but that squad playing twice a week wouldn't be in pole position to win the league. However they are and fair play to them, I hope they do it.

Andy in Belfast: Delighted to see Gary Hooper start up front for Norwich this afternoon instead of Ricky Van Wolfswinkel. No Premier League goals in over 21 hours now for the £8.8m Dutch striker, that is simply awful. Surely a candidate for the worst Premier League signing ever?

The two teams make their way down the narrow Carrow Road tunnel and into the piercing light of their stage for the next 90 minutes. Liverpool supporters have brought plenty of flags to the ground today. "Make us dream," reads one.

Martin McCleary:, external Jordan Henderson probably bigger miss than Daniel Sturridge for Liverpool today - who would have thought we would be saying that at start of season?

Stuart Clarkson:, external As much as I dislike Liverpool as a Manchester United fan, they will be worthy winners of the league and Steven Gerrard deserves a league title.

Graham Hart:, external Is it me but I think Brendan Rodgers gives too much away tactically before the game? Likes talking about formation and approach.

  17. Postpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 20 April 2014

Who'd have said at the start of the season that Liverpool would badly miss Jordan Henderson? The England midfielder has been a revelation this season but misses out today because of suspension. His replacement is Joe Allen, who manager Brendan Rodgers believes will prove to be a bargain at £15m.

"When he's had the chance to play, he has been exceptional," said Rodgers of Allen., external "I said when he first came to the club that Joe is an outstanding player. As time goes on and he starts to show that, what the club paid for Joe will be a bargain.

"You look at other midfielders with his qualities, they are going to big clubs for £40m."

    Steady on, Brendan.

Norwich will be acutely aware of the abilities of one particular striker this afternoon. Luis Suarez has scored 11 goals in his last four appearances against Norwich, including four in this season's reverse fixture at Anfield. Can anybody recall any other strikers who had such an impressive record against a particular club?

There's obviously plenty of chat around the title race today, but Norwich need the three points just as much as their visitors. The Canaries face Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in their run-in, but new manager Neil Adams is confident his side can pick up points this afternoon - with the backing of a full house at Carrow Road.

"Carrow Road has been packed for the last eight or nine years and the more support we get, the louder the noise and it does lift players," he said., external

"You can argue rightly or wrongly whether players should perform anyway without that backing, but I don't care what anyone says I have been there when the crowd are right behind you and you do get a lift it and you do find that little bit extra. We have seen a lot of games at Carrow Road when we haven't been expected to win.

"No disrespect to the other teams in the league, but they're the best team in the country so it will be rocking."

Andrew: Rafa Benitez's "let's talk about facts" was another memorable soundbite when he was Liverpool gaffer.

Dave: I think Alan Hansen's famous "You can't win anything with kids" is a personal favourite.

Mark: Iain Dowie's battle cry when he was Oldham manager was "Go hard or go home". He probably nicked it but we loved him.
