    Argentina's best chance by far.

Marcos Rojo whips in a delightful ball which Gonzalo Higuain powers towards goal but Diego Benaglio comes to Switzerland's rescue with a fingertip save.

The Swiss are beginning to tire.

"I'm starting to believe that Switzerland can cause a massive upset. They just need one chance to fall to Xherdan Shaqiri. If they can keep their concentration they could easily nick it 1-0.

"Argentina have been disappointing. Sooner or later they will have to make a substitution. Ezequiel Lavezzi has been ineffective, he likes to turn in behind people, but hasn't had the opportunity to do that and therefore hasn't done anything of any real note."

    Argentina are stirring!

Full-back Marcos Rojo goes close with a cross-shot but the patience of their fans is tested when Angel Di Maria's attempted cross goes sailing out for a goal kick.

Surely the Real Madid winger is living on borrowed time as far as this match is concerned.

"I think Ottmar Hitzfeld will have said to his Switzerland players at half-time: 'Stay organised, stay compact, and have a bit more belief going forward'.

"Argentina are becoming frustrated and Switzerland have grown in confidence. If they can nullify Lionel Messi, which of course is no easy task, then there is a great opportunity for them on the counter attack."

The Typewriter:, external Higuain has had another dreadful game; I struggle to remember a big match where he's had any major impact.

Josh Pickwick:, external Can see the Swiss pinching this.

Mahbub Albahry:, external Argentina need to show what they are good - attacking - before the Swiss take advantage of their poor defence.

Still Argentina's fans sing in an attempt to pump their players full of adrenaline.

    But they're not responding.

The South Americans look weary. Surely the first substitution cannot be far away?

Rob: Is Messi playing? A wonderful player now and again when he gets the opportunity, but he doesn't influence games like Maradona used to.

Switzerland are growing in belief minute by minute.

They win a free-kick just outside the Argentina area and Xherdan Shaqiri's curling attempt is saved unconvincingly by Sergio Romero.

The Argentine keeper is not having his greatest game.

"Argentina didn't get in behind the Swiss at all in the first half, they need to do that more. Up until now Switzerland have done everything right, but I wonder if failing to take those chances will come back to haunt them."

We've just witnessed more attacking intent from Argentina in the opening minute of the second half than we saw in the first 45.

Messi finds Ezequiel Lavezzi with a delightful ball but Gonzalo Higuain is unable to make clean contact with his low cross.

"Lionel Messi will get one chance but the disappointing thing from Argentina is when they have got the ball we have seen absolutely nothing from them.

"This team has big-name players that have done well in the Champions League and the Premier League.

"You look at their first-half performance and see how bad Argentina were collectively. If they don't step up then they could be heading home."
