Chas Gillis: All of the six teams through to the quarter-finals so far won their groups. So it has to be Argentina and Belgium to win today.
Former Republic of Ireland and Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
"Switzerland had a topsy-turvy time of it in their group before making it through to the last 16, but this is where their World Cup will end.
"I know Argentina striker Sergio Aguero is out but Lionel Messi keeps coming up with the goods when they need him to, and it is frightening to think that he probably has not even got going properly yet.
"The attacking football and number of goals so far at this World Cup have been great. But what is making it even more special is to see people like Messi playing the kind of football we know he can. Hopefully there is more to come."
Say cheese! These Switzerland fans are hungry for a win over Argentina.
Will Xherdan Shaqiri deliver as he did with a hat-trick on his last outing against Honduras?
Darren Jamal:, external Switzerland will be in the jaws of the most dangerous predators in football. Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and others. I can't wait to see the massacre.
Kieran James Wyer:, external Lionel Messi's got the chance to climb back on top for the Golden Boot award. Neymar didn't score any and neither did Thomas Muller, only James Rodriguez stands in his way.
Adam Zbyszewski:, external There is no way Argentina can win the tournament. Lionel Messi is no Diego Maradona.
One change for Argentina from the starting line-up that faced Nigeria - and it is the one which was expected. Paris St-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi replaces Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, who has been ruled out with a thigh injury. Lionel Messi captains the team.
Switzerland are unchanged from the team which began their 3-0 win against Honduras. That means their attacking hopes are pinned on the creativity of Bayern Munich playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri, while ex-Premier League duo Johan Djourou and Valon Behrami also start.
Sao Paulo should be dry and a little cooler for this game, conditions that may well help Switzerland.
You have been utterly spoiled with 150 goals from 54 - it's been an absolute belter of a World Cup.

Talking of Hitzfeld, the Swiss coach plans to retire after the World Cup., external
"After 30 years in the strength-sapping world of football, my time has come to stop... it was the most difficult decision of my career," says the 65-year-old German.
Can the two-time Champions League winner with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich mastermind one last shock before he goes?
So do the Swiss have any chance at all against Messi and Co?
Seven-time champion Roger Federer has already ensured Switzerland will have a representative in the last eight at Wimbledon with a commanding straight-sets win over Tommy Robredo earlier.
Basel-born Federer completed his win in time to watch the action in Sao Paulo.
"It is nice to see the national football team doing very well, especially for Ottmar Hitzfeld, our coach, who has been with us for a long time," says Federer.
"It might be his last match but I hope not. I hope we can beat Argentina. I'm definitely going to watch the match and I hope we do well."
Former Wales striker John Hartson
"I should be walking off the 18th bang on time for Argentina v Switzerland. Time for a cold beer and a bit of Messi magic."
Sao Paulo is busy at the best of times but when Argentina are in town it is standing room only.
With a population of 22 million it is the biggest city in South America yet that number has been swelled by 100,000 football-crazy fans from across the border who have used all sorts of transport to arrive.
While many have taken to planes and trains, the fans pictured above have arrived on a bus decked out in their team's colours and decorated with a painting of Lionel Messi.
Next stop the quarter-finals?
Brazil v Colombia. France v Germany. Netherlands v Costa Rica. But who will complete the quarter-final line-up in Brazil?
The final piece of the jigsaw will be completed later when Belgium face USA in Salvador, scene of 21 goals in four games this tournament.
First up it's Argentina against Switzerland in the party city of Sao Paulo, which has been overrun by tens of thousands of worshipping Lionel Messi fans.
"Swap jerseys with Messi? I'm not here as a tourist. Switzerland is in the second round of a World Cup. With all due respect for his qualities and class, I think too much is talked about just Messi."
So says Switzerland striker Admir Mehmedi. But can the Swiss really silence Argentina and their brilliant No 10, and deliver a World Cup shock to rival their feat of 2010 when they beat eventual champions Spain?
It's the final day of the last-16 round of games. And the first day of a new month that will see new world champions crowned. Will July be Argentina's lucky month?
Argentina: Romero, Garay, Zabaleta, Gago, Di Maria, Higuain, Messi, Mascherano, Rojo, Fernandez, Lavezzi.
Switzerland: Benaglio, Lichtsteiner, Inler, Xhaka, Behrami, Rodriguez, Mehmedi, Drmic, Djourou, Schar, Shaqiri.
Argentina striker Sergio Aguero is ruled out by a thigh problem and is set to be replaced by Ezequiel Lavezzi.
An alternative option for coach Alejandro Sabella is to bring in another central midfielder and switch from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2.
Switzerland are without back-up striker Mario Gavranovic, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament in training.
Granit Xhaka may again start on the right wing, with Xherdan Shaqiri supporting lone striker Josip Drmic.
