  15. Balotelli bailing out?published at 10:17 British Summer Time 27 June 2014

Italy striker Mario Balotelli is prepared to consider a move away from AC Milan, according to his agent.

While AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has defended the 23-year-old for his performances in Brazil, another club vice-president Barbara Berlusconi hinted at the possibility of a Balotelli transfer this summer by saying he is "replaceable".

"Mario is sad, desperate," Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Only Galliani has defended him while the FIGC (Italian football federation) remains absolutely silent.

"If for her Mario is replaceable, she should set up a meeting in the club's headquarters and we will find a solution, just as I am used to doing. I remember that Mario had other important offers."

Calum Chalmers:, external Junior Diaz has been quietly brilliant this WC and a big part of the Costa Rica game. Good defensively also, rare now.

Gabriel:, external I don't see how Luke Shaw is better than Daley Blind. All these fuss about English players need to stop. They are not good!

  18. Suarez controverypublished at 10:05 British Summer Time 27 June 2014

    BBC Radio 5 live

PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor: "Obviously I thought Fifa were going to come down heavily.

"This is a human being who is clearly one of the best footballers in the world but he has this trait in his character which is so abnormal that needs looking at. We thought we'd got him back on track to the extent that he was player of the year.

"For it to impact on Liverpool, this is very unusual. It would only be like that if it were drugs or if it was match-fixing so it's going to increase that tension between club and country now. Clubs are going to be thinking 'not only do we pay the wages when we let them go for their country, they might get into disciplinary problems and we might not even have him for our club fixtures'."
