"Celtic replacing their attacking midfielder with the much more defensively-minded Beram Kayal tells you everything you need to know about how this match is going right now."

Dinamo really have played some incisive football - and again Celtic owe keeper Craig Gordon a debt of gratitude as he makes another good save, this time to deny Marcelo Brozovic.

Kris Commons is subbed off. What we have, we hold.

Shado: Can't believe how such a highly rated striker a year ago (Roberto Soldado) can't even pass a ball, let alone score!

Tom in London: Lots of empty seats at White Hart Lane! Why the need for a bigger stadium?

Can the attendance for a Europa League match really be a good enough gauge for whether or not a team should expand their stadium?

Game over in Spain. Villarreal now lead 3-0 against Apollon thanks to a second goal from Javier Espinosa. That will take them to four points in Group A, one more than the team they are beating tonight.

It looks like Asteras are en route to victory in Tottenham's group. Facundo Parra has doubled their advantage to make it 2-0 against Partisan Belgrade.

A change now for Besiktas as Oguzhan Ozyakup, a former Arsenal trainee, comes on in place of Veli Kavlak.

  6. ACROBATIC EFFORTpublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 2 October 2014

That has to go in. For the good of football. To satisfy a stylistic itch.

Olcay Sahan launches himself into a brilliant overhead scissor-kick, catches the ball as sweet as a nut, Hugo Lloris is a mere spectator, but the far corner doesn't bulge.

The ball flies wide and Besiktas are still behind.

We have a shade under half an hour left at White Hart Lane and Parkhead.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 2 October 2014

Paulinho off and Aaron Lennon on for Tottenham. A bit more pace up top to exploit the gaps left by a increasingly desperate Besiktas? Looks like it.

  9. CLOSE!published at 21:24 British Summer Time 2 October 2014

There is a goal brewing here. Who is going to get it though is anyone's guess.

Tottenham go close now as Roberto Soldado slips the ball to Nabil Bentaleb, who lashes a Carlos Alberto-in-1970-style shot just wide of the far post.

"Celtic fans getting increasingly anxious as Dinamo dominate at the start of the second half. Not sure Craig Gordon and company can keep them at bay for another 30 minutes."

Tottenham academy coach on BBC London 94.9

"Perhaps that save was one for the cameras and perhaps the shot should have been low and into the corner, but Hugo Lloris does what he's been doing all evening, and Spurs maintain their clean sheet. But that is a massive let-off for Tottenham, and again it's down to defender Vlad Chiriches, who too easily lost the ball. Besiktas just can't believe it, and it was Lloris again to the rescue.

"Tottenham desperately need a second goal here, so finely-balanced is this game."

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:21 British Summer Time 2 October 2014

    "Hu-go! Hu-go!"

The Tottenham fans chant the name of goalkeeper Lloris and every decibel is deserved. The Frenchman has pulled a save out of the very top drawer, flinging up a hand to push over Olcay Sahan's sharp shot from 15 yards.

Pressure, pressure, pressure. It takes a sliding intervention from skipper Scott Brown to cut out a dangerous ball and then Ivo Pinto heads over from the subsequent corner.

Very clever from Benjamin Stambouli who draws his foot back from 25 yards only to roll his foot over the ball and laying it back into into the path of Andros Townsend.

It was a bit like an American football snap, but Townsend land the touchdown pass, whipping his shot a foot or two over the bar.

"Noisy in here at the start of the second half as the Celtic fans try to spur their side on to a second goal. But they need another amazing intervention from their goalkeeper Craig Gordon to deny Dinamo an equaliser."

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:18 British Summer Time 2 October 2014

Celtic win their second corner of the game but it is comfortably collected by Eduardo. Dimano Zagreb break quickly and almost score. They really should as Wilson Eduardo - that man again - only has Craig Gordon to beat but he cannot find his way past the Celtic keeper from 14 yards.

"Three Spurs defenders are now on yellow cards. I don't think Mauricio Pochettino will want to play Younes Kaboul, but he now might have to use him at some point..."

Federico Fazio and Demba Ba's wrestling match as they wait for a corner is getting so serious I think they might be talent-spotted by Vince McMahon.

The referee steps in to end their WWE audition, issuing Fazio with a yellow card .

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:12 British Summer Time 2 October 2014

Nabil Bentaleb has his name taken for a tug on the shirt of Atiba Hutchinson. Besiktas cannot make anything of the resulting free-kick in a prime position though.

Phil in Poole: RE Alex (20:47 BST) - Being pedantic you can't be on the bandwagon from the beginning.

Andrew: I'm not a Spurs fan but the fact an old over-the-hill striker who can't get a game in Rickie Lambert is in the England squad and a young in-form Harry Kane is not, is totally stupid.

Dale in Heanor: Can you see if you can get some beard-growing tips off these facially-fuzzed men? I can't get mine to grow on the sides of my mouth...

Dom in Stockport: The referee in this Spurs match has a look of Ed Milliband about him.

Spurs' lack of attacking play seems to turned some of your minds to other matters...
