Brendan Eyre:, external Man City so deserved that win. Kept their cool against the old 'park the bus' tactics from Villa.

Jonathan Cowley:, external David Silva is the best player I have ever seen pull on a Man City shirt. Touch, vision, passing, composure. He has it all.

Imy Hussain:, external Can see Yaya Toure going on a goal spree now in next few games. You can't keep good players quiet for long.

Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero scored in the last eight minutes to secure victory for City at Villa Park yesterday.

Right, let's have a scan of what today's newspapers are saying footie wise.

The Independent, external leads with Manchester City and the paper claims they are concerned that Yaya Toure wants to leave the club.

"Although City say they have not been approached by either the player or his agent Dimitri Seluk, his body language suggests he is far from happy," the Independent's Paul Smith writes.

Paris St-Germain are also ready to make a move for Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling, with the 19-year-old in a contract stand-off with the Reds.

Fresh from helping Europe retain the Ryder Cup by beating the United States last week, ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has already arrived at Old Trafford.

He looks in jovial mood but will he be smiling after his former club's game against Everton, which starts at midday?

    Alan Shearer
    Match of the Day

"Manchester City played well in the last 10 minutes but their performance was full of errors and mistakes. But the sign of a good team is that they can produce a piece of magic.

"It was a clever, cultured finish by Yaya Toure, and Sergio Aguero, who missed an absolute sitter earlier, finished brilliantly for his goal. It was about winning and getting three points and they did it but I didn't think they played well.

"I think they felt they just had to turn up and they'd win but that doesn't happen in the Premier League."

Peter Metalli:, external Actually I think this is a real test for Chelsea this weekend. Too many times last season we played in games where we expected to win (Palace, West Ham, Villa etc) but did not focus properly. The great start to the season could feed that complacency again but hopefully the fact that Arsenal had that thumping win in the week will help steady nerves/focus the mind.

I believe that Arsenal could well be (ck) our closest rival this year and this game will give a really good indication as to whether it IS to be the runaway success that everyone is predicting or whether it will be "tempo bum squeaky" (squeaky bum time in Portuguese) at the end of the season. Stats mean nothing. Arsenal need to be respected.

Lucky Thebeyame:, external Simply put, Jose Mourinho is a better manager than Arsene Wenger and there's nothing he'll ever do to change that.

John Rowley:, external Simply put, Mourinho just has always had a bigger wallet than Wenger.

Firstly, let's have a look back at Saturday's goings on. Whether you watch Match of the Day on Saturday night or Sunday morning, you will have seen champions Manchester City eventually break Aston Villa's resistance to win 2-0.

Liverpool were not back to their best but also got a much-needed three points as they beat West Brom 2-1.

Sunderland got their first Premier League victory on the board as they beat Stoke, while Hull were also in the winners enclosure after seeing off Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, Leicester v Burnley and Swansea v Newcastle both finished 2-2.

Are you ready ... because you need to be. The Premier League wagon is still in town and today you are going to need plenty of sustenance and stamina.

There are plots, sub-plots and sub-sub-plots, with proceedings getting underway at midday when Manchester United host Everton.

Intriguing games between Chelsea and Arsenal as well as Tottenham and Southampton kick-off at 14:05 BST before West Ham and QPR round things off when they start at 16:15 BST. Like I said, it's time to get in the zone.
