Not much happening at The Hawthorns, but Newcastle look lively - snapping into the tackle and dictating the early proceedings. Remy Cabella looks particularly sprightly early on, whipping in a free-kick which is headed over at the far post by Paul Dummett.

  3. GOALpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

What a way to score your first goal in the Premier League! Bojan - the boy from Barcelona - picks the ball up on halfway, cuts inside from the left wing and drives at the heart of the Spurs back four. They back off and allow him to shoot, and he takes full advantage! Low, hard and into the corner. Dream start for Stoke.

  4. Postpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Connor Wickham is proving to be a nuisance. Again he wins a header from a corner, again he meets it well, but again he flicks it onto the roof of the net.

    Good opening at Sunderland.

  5. CLOSE!published at 13:35 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Harry Kane doesn't have long to wait for his first chance - and he should probably score. Nacer Chadli puts in a strong run, beating two men and putting over a chipped cross to the far post. Kane beats his man to meet the ball with a flying header, but he steers it back into the hands of Asmir Begovic.

    Big opening...

  6. Postpublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

    Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
BBC Radio 5 live at the Stadium of Light

"Sunderland's victory on Monday night was so important on the back of two successive defeats. They will feel like they have something to build on now.

"I saw Samuel Eto'o run the game for Everton from a central position against Burnley the other week - and he also scored two goals. Romelu Lukaku looked another player because of it too."

  7. Postpublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

What a move from Everton! Samuel Eto'o, playing in the hole behind Romelu Lukaku, swaps passes with the big Belgian not once but twice. One-two, one-two, and Eto'o gets a shot away but spins it over the top!

  8. CLOSE!published at 13:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Early chance for Sunderland as Connor Wickham escapes his marker at the near post to head on a corner, it is always soaring wide though and Tim Howard watches it past the post. Wickham's spring-time run of form seems a distant memory now.

  9. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:30 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Game on at Sunderland, under way at Tottenham and kick-off at The Hawthorns.

All three games are of course honouring Remembrance Sunday with a minute's silence, military personnel in attendance and the exchange of wreaths. A poignant day on the footballing calendar.

Harry Kane - average, or the saviour of Spurs?

He certainly deserves his chance, and has scored nine goals in just 13 appearances this season. In the Premier League, he has four goals in 17 appearances.

Why so many games on a Sunday? You can thank the Europa League for splitting your footballing weekend.

It was a strong week for Premier League sides in the Europa League too.

Everton strengthened their grip at the top of Group H as they eased to an easy 3-0 win over Lille, while the darling of White Hart Lane Harry Kane continued his rich vein of goalscoring form as Tottenham edged closer to the knockout stage with a win over Asteras Tripolis.

    The FA Cup
    Live on the BBC

5 Live football correspondent John Murray:

"The stories just keep on coming don't they. Friday night was a great example of that.

"And the FA Cup still has it! It still produces these stories."

    Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown:

"They were amazing Warrington, virtually all their players were nursing cramp after about an hour, so how they got through it I don't know.

"If you could capture the way manager Shaun Reid was after the game - the passion he showed - it demonstrated what the FA Cup is like at its greatest.

"I think what Liverpool have done this week, fielding a weakened team at Madrid, that will make teams think twice before doing the same in this competition in the later rounds."
