Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown: "Manchester City have not bought that next player they need. I know they were fined in the summer in relation to Financial Fair Play, but they need another player to come in and raise the bar again.
"City have to have the swagger of champions. You have to be smartly dressed off the bus, you then take that out onto the pitch and control the game. They didn't do that on Saturday away to QPR. They look like a team that is looking over their shoulder at the incredible story happening at Chelsea."
BBC Radio 5 live football correspondent John Murray: "I was asking Phil Neville about his time winning championships at Manchester United. He said that when you have had a successful season, then you sometimes have players still celebrating the next December. This is the first league title Manuel Pellegrini has won since he came to Europe, and perhaps last year's league success has not been managed as well as Manchester City will have wanted."
So, it's two changes for West Brom for the visit of Newcastle - Victor Anichebe coming into the team to partner Saido Berahino up front, while Youssouf Mulumbu replaces James Morrison in midfield.
As for the Magpies, they make three alterations to their starting line-up - Massadio Haidara taking Steven Taylor's place at the back, Remy Cabella replacing the injured Gabriel Obertan and Ayoze Perez is in for Papiss Cisse after scoring in each of his last two appearances.

On the form of Southampton, who are second in the Premier League table at the moment. Can they stay there?
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown: "I think they are doing remarkably well - and just as well that they are because Chelsea are running away with it. They seem to have a squad of players that are responding to one another. It is a breath of fresh air. I don't see them disappearing anytime soon. Defensively they are hardly conceding goals."
The Sun's head of sport Shaun Custis: "Because Saints are second we look at the other teams who have spent a lot of money and wonder about them. Everyone at the club wants to get into that Saints team - it must be great to play for them because there is not the same pressure there as at some other clubs."
BBC Radio 5 live football correspondent John Murray: "It is a confidence thing - the extraordinary run of wins they are on, with the draw against Villa in the middle of it all. I will hold my hands up, I looked at the top of the league table this morning and my eyes bypassed Southampton, scanning down for Man City but everything is clicking into place for Saints."
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet makes four changes from the side which won 3-1 at Crystal Palace as Liam Bridcutt comes in for the suspended Lee Cattermole.
Anthony Reveillere replaces the injured Patrick van Aanholt while Wes Brown and Adam Johnson earn recalls to the starting line-up. Former Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell has to settle for a place on the bench.
Sunderland XI: Pantilimon, Vergini, Reveillere, Brown, O'Shea, Bridcutt, Larsson, Gomez, Johnson, Wickham, Fletcher.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez makes two changes from the team which beat Lille 3-0 in the Europa League on Thursday.
Seamus Coleman returns at right-back ahead of veteran Tony Hibbert after missing out during the week with a gash on his Achilles. Ross Barkley starts in an advanced midfield role in favour of Steven Naismith, who drops to the bench.
Everton XI: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, McCarthy, Barry, McGeady, Barkley, Lukaku, Eto'o.

"Harry Kane came on in Tottenham's last Premier League game and created a chance almost immediately. He was all over the pitch, he was high energy and the crowd responded to that. When they won the free-kick he grabbed the ball and walked over to take it. It is great to see a young lad with that confidence."
Spurs fans get their wish - Harry Kane makes his first Premier League start of the season for Tottenham against Stoke City.
The striker, who has scored eight goals in his last eight games, replaces Emmanuel Adebayor in one of three changes from the side that beat Aston Villa in Spurs' last Premier League game. Jan Vertonghen and Robert Soldado drop to the bench, with Federico Fazio and Andros Townsend coming in.
Two changes for Stoke, with Phil Bardsley and Bojan coming into the side.
Tottenham: Lloris, Naughton, Fazio, Kaboul, Rose; Capoue, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend; Kane.
Stoke: Begovic, Bardsley, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters, Walters, Sidwell, Bojan, Nzonzi, Moses, Diouf.

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown: "Gary Cahill is a major player for Chelsea now, taking over from John Terry, they look so solid at the back. And when you go to Anfield and come away with a win, in that dressing room you start to believe that this is your year and they are growing stronger with every game.
"Chelsea are not so rigid now, having Cesc Fabregas in there shows that. Nemanja Matic is almost playing like two men in their midfield. Whenever they lose the ball he sprints back to win it."
BBC Radio 5 live football correspondent John Murray: "Maybe the penalty that could have been awarded for Liverpool against Cahill would have changed the game but over the 90 minutes I saw, a draw would not have reflected the balance of the game.
"I think it's interesting what Phil Neville said about Chelsea last night on Match of the Day. Hw was saying that you can maybe get at Chelsea through Cesc Fabregas's role defensively. It speaks volumes that you have to look so deeply into to the team to see where they might be vulnerable. The way Jose Mourinho reacted after the match, I think Chelsea expected it would be a big challenge because of what happened when they met in April."
Victor Anichebe partners new England man Saido Berahino up front for West Brom, while Ayoze Perez gets a start for Newcastle.
West Brom: Foster, Wisdom, Lescott, Dawson, Pocognoli, Brunt, Dorrans, Mulumbu, Morrison, Anichebe, Berahino
Newcastle: Krul; Janmaat, Coloccini, Dummett, Haidara; Sissoko, Abeid, Colback; Cabella, Perez, Ameobi.
After Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure gave a signed shirt to a five-year-old girl who was struck by one of his wayward shots in his side's 2-2 draw at QPR, we're asking you: What is the most unfortunate thing to have happened to you at a football match?
Guy, Aylesbury: Teddy Sheringham lashed the ball into the crowd when playing for Spurs in frustration at Chelsea being awarded a penalty. It was like the parting of the Red Sea in the crowd in front of me and the ball hit me full on the bonce. He's never said sorry either!

BBC Radio 5 live football correspondent John Murray: "Yesterday the atmosphere was a little better from Liverpool, the performance was a little better and they opened the match well, but everything that happened with the team changes for Real Madrid meant we got the headlines that we have got today.
"In the end the way Chelsea played meant that it would not have made a great bit of difference either way."

"I thought Philippe Coutinho was outstanding at times yesterday. I was disappointed with Brendan Rodgers and the tactics. I think Jose Mourinho has his number. This Liverpool team is nowhere near the level they showed last year. I think their season is imploding.
"Liverpool fought really hard to get into the Champions League - it would have been justified to rest players against Real if they had beaten Chelsea but now...
"I thought Mario Balotelli looked up for it yesterday but no-one get the ball into him. Liverpool created a lot of their own problems, and Chelsea with their pressing got on to that."

Sitting or standing behind the goal is one of football's perennial hazards. Keep your eye on the ball at all times...
After Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure gave a signed shirt to a five-year-old girl who was struck by one of his wayward shots in his side's 2-2 draw at QPR, we're asking you: What is the most unfortunate thing to have happened to you at a football match?
Eddie, Burnley: I was at Burnley v Brentford several years ago when a Brentford striker blasted the ball high over the net. It ended up hitting me on the head and knocking my glasses off to the crowds entertainment. It cost me over £100 for a new set of specs. The most expensive match I have been to.
Tim, Eastbourne: In the 1980s I attended the first game of the season at Newcastle's St James' Park. It was one of Mirandinho's first games so there were plenty of Brazil flags, etc. All of a sudden a trumpet started playing in the Gallowgate end and we all turned to see a gorilla dancing with Carmen Miranda! Much laughter and jeering except from my mate who was bright red and trying to hide. Carmen Miranda it turns out was his six-foot bearded cousin!
