MOTD's John Roder at Turf Moor

"Burnley raced in front through goals Ben Mee and Danny Ings. Palace felt a sense of injustice about both. Alan Pardew made his point to Phil Dowd at half-time. Dwight Gayle got one back before half-time and this game is very nicely poised."

It could be a day of upsets in League Two, with league-leaders Wycombe trailing 1-0 to a Danny Mayor strike against a Bury side who have won just one of their last eight league games.

Meanwhile, second-placed Burton are losing 1-0 to a Jed Wallace goal at Portsmouth and the league's in-form side Newport County, who have seven wins from the last eight games, are failing to take advantage of the top two slipping up and trial 2-0 at Cambridge, with Sullay KaiKaj adding to a debut goal for Cameron McGeehan.

    Former Wales striker John Hartson
BBC Radio 5 live at Liberty Stadium

"At half-time Garry Monk has to try and turn things round. Swansea are not going to get back in this game - it is game over already here - but they have to shore up at the back and stop it becoming an absolute rout. It could easily already be six or seven. Swansea have to stop it becoming an embarrassment, but Oscar and Diego Costa have got two goals apiece already and will both want to go on and get their hat-tricks.

"They've had it really good here at Swansea over the past few years but this has been a really poor 45 minutes. Yes they are missing Wilfried Bony, but for me Ki Sung-Yueng is the big absentee. The South Korean midfielder is away at the Asian Cup, and Swansea are missing him badly. He does for Swansea what Nemanja Matic does for Chelsea. It's been the perfect performance from Matic, intercepting everything in front of his defence. His positional sense is freakish."

Ada: Looks like losing Bony has lost Swansea more then a goalscorer. Perhaps an influential and inspiring player and a leader too?

Dara Sheahan: OK, Moyes broke Manchester United, but Louis van Gaal ain't fixed it. If he doesn't ditch this 3-5-2 nonsense, I want him out! Give us 4-4-2 and Janujaz.

John McNeill: To be honest, is LVG doing that much better than Moyes did?

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Harry Kane rattles a shot against the woodwork as Tottenham press, before Danny Rose's low drive on the follow-up is saved. That's likely to be the last action of the half.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

MOTD's Steve Bower at Villa Park

"Liverpool are in front and Aston Villa will be thankful Raheem Sterling did not make it two. Villa, with two wins from their last 17 league games, have got some talking and think to do at the break."

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

MOTD's John Murray at the King Power Stadium

"Everything we have witnessed so far suggests this game could well end up 0-0."

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Palace are inches away from levelling at the end of the half as Yaya Sanogo's goal ward header is cleared off the line by Scott Arfield. The whistle goes to end the half.

Tom Heaton forced to dive low to his left to keep out a 30-yard drive from James McArthur as the ball zipped off the snowy surface. Palace looking more threatening as half-time approaches.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Swansea have no option but to push up but that is leaving them exposed at the back and Chelsea almost take full advantage, Diego Costa running clear from just inside his own half before rounding Lukasz Fabianski. The angle is too tight and he opts instead to pass to Willian, who strikes the crossbar.

  14. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

It remains a scrappy affair at Loftus Road and that will suit the hosts you would have thought. Their fans are giving them plenty of backing and United players don't seem to be coping all too well in the face of Harry Redknapp's side's energy and endeavour.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Better from Aston Villa and they should be level. Ashley Westwood slips Tom Cleverley through on goal but, closed down by a defender and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, he pokes the ball wide.

Gozie Ugwu has given League One's bottom side Yeovil Town a 1-0 lead against Bradford City. Gary Johnson's side have won just five games all season and one of those was in the reverse fixture against today's visitors. As it stands, Yeovil will move to within three points of safety.

League leaders Swindon Town are looking to extend the gap to second placed Bristol City after re-taking the lead against Chesterfield to stay on course for their fourth win on the bounce. Jack Stephens headed the home side in front before Sam Clucas equalised and John Swift restored the lead.

But Bristol City, who are only second on goal difference, have hit back through Jay Emmanuel-Thomas to give City a 1-0 lead at Scunthorpe and keep pace at the top.

Carlos Sanchez's ambitious low effort from 35 yards almost catches out Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet but the stopper gathers at the second attempt.

Stoke have their first real chance. Victor Moses sends in a corner and Philipp Wollscheid - on loan from Bayer Leverkusen - puts a free header past the post. A rare moment of excitement in an otherwise - and this is putting it kindly - disappointing game.

  19. Postpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Danny Rose, against his former side, tries to regain the lead for Tottenham as he shows a bit of skill to give himself a sight on goal, just outside the area, but drags his shot wide.

  20. Postpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2015

Liverpool close to doubling the lead as Raheem Sterling races through on goal but he tries to be too clever and his chip ends up straight in the hands of Brad Guzan. Why he hasn't put his foot through that only he can answer but, in hindsight, that was a terrible option.
