Neil Knighton: Good to see Mauricio Pochettino not underestimating Sheffield United. Hopefully get this game killed within an hour then rest Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.

Jamie Thompson: White Hart Lane at full voice is the best stadium in the country for me. Sounds fantastic tonight.

Marc McNulty, who scored the winner against Southampton in the previous round, shows his teeth for the first time as he runs at the Tottenham defence, who back off. His shot is blocked but the ball falls to Louis Reed, who then finds Jamal Campbell-Ryce but his cross is cleared by Kyle Walker.

"Spurs just need to settle themselves down. It is alright saying they know it will be a tough game, but they have started sloppily. They need to step it up a notch now. Things have got to be harder for Sheffield United."

Sheffield United are giving Tottenham players no time on the ball and are pushing forward at every opportunity, as well as tracking back quickly when they need to defend. It is impressive stuff from the League One side, but can they keep this kind of tempo up for the full 90 minutes?

Tottenham win the first corner of the game which Andros Townsend takes, no Sheffield United player can clear and the ball runs through to Harry Kane. You'd fancy the big man to get a decent shot off but no, the ball squirms away from him as a result of a poor first touch and the chance is gone.

  7. Championship updatepublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2015

There's been another goal at Craven Cottage and it's another one for Ross McCormack. Fulham now lead 2-0 over Nottingham Forest.

There's been a goal at the Amex Stadium too and it's good news for Bournemouth fans - Brighton have taken the lead against Ipswich, Sam Baldock with a screaming drive to open the scoring.

Tottenham are defending again as Jamie Murphy wriggles into the box from the left before cutting the ball back to Michael Doyle on the edge of the area, the Blades skipper is leaning back, though, and scoops high into the stands.

"What a start from Sheffield United. There was a period there when they had four players in the Tottenham box. That shows you the intent they have - Nigel Clough has told his players to go out and win this game."

Sheffield United are getting it wide at every opportunity and Jamal Campbell-Ryce races away down the flank. He has loads of space ahead of him but his cross is poor and Tottenham again sweep up.

Sheffield United are off the team bus and out of the blocks at a fair old pace as they embark on the first attack of the game. Jamal Campbell-Ryce performs a step over too many on the right side of the area and loses the ball to Ben Davies, who hoofs clear. A good start from the League One side, though.

"White Hart Lane is the type of place that if Spurs get a head of steam the game becomes very hard. The game can be taken away from you before you get into it. These opening 15 minutes are vital for Sheffield United. They will have confidence from beating top sides in previous rounds, but they have to look at this as a two-legged game and you do approach that differently. They need to make sure they go back to Bramall Lane with something."

While we're still waiting for the players to emerge at White Hart Lane, Fulham have taken the lead against Nottingham Forest in west London. It's Ross McCormack who's opened the scoring, curling a shot into the corner after a lay-off from Hugo Rodallega. It's still 0-0 between Brighton and Ipswich in the night's other Championship fixture, after just over 10 minutes played.

On the back of Sheffield United's impressive record against Premier League sides, what is the most memorable giant-killing your side has achieved?

Adrian Sheffield: The other side of the Steel City, Sheffield Wednesday, beating mighty Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United on the way to the League Cup trophy in 1991.

Chris, Hitchin: Stevenage 3-1 Newcastle. Our debut season in the Football League and we bossed the match for 90 minutes, as well as avenging Alan Shearer's goal that never was from our previous meeting in 1998.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to Sky Sports: "I need always to pick the best team for every game. We decided to pick Adebayor and I think we will try to win the game, play better than Sheffield United and get a positive result.

"We know that Sheffield United are a very good team, we watched a lot of their games recently. We are aware and we need to play in our way and understand that this is a cup semi-final."

On the back of Sheffield United's impressive record against Premier League sides, what is the most memorable giant-killing your side has achieved?

Luke Parsons: Crawley beating Derby in the FA Cup in 2011 to set up a tie at Old Trafford! Sergio Torres was the hero that day.

Paul B: Most memorable giant-killing for me was Tranmere v Southampton at Prenton Park 20 February 2001. Three goals down by half-time, the game was a write off. A second-half hat-trick from Paul Rideout and a winner from Stuart Barlow set up a quarter-final against local rivals Liverpool. Easily the most adrenaline-filled 45 minutes of my life.

Tim, Benfleet: Think it was in the 2006 League Cup, Southend 1-0 Manchester United. Freddy Eastwood with a stunning free-kick.
