Sam Robson:, external No doubt in my mind, that Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League, even in defeat he has been mesmerising!

Tom Wilkinson:, external Chelsea have started the same back five in almost every game this season. Burnout? I hope so.

Miles Kynigos:, external Eden Hazard has been at times the best on the pitch(Harry Kane excluded) yet no one else for Chelsea has pulled their weight

  2. GOALpublished at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

Eden Hazard's response to adversity has been sensational. He's really done everything to drag Chelsea back into this contest and he helps make it 5-3 when his low cross is helped on by Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry is on hand at the back stick to roll the ball into an empty net.

  3. Tottenham 5-2 Chelseapublished at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

    Bradley Allen
Tottenham academy coach on BBC London 94.9

"In the past, there's almost been a psychological blip when Tottenham have taken on the big teams, and that's perhaps made a difference when it's come to getting into that top four and staying there. But they've played with an intensity and a physical effort tonight. Since they went in front, there's been a tenacious approach to make sure they don't let Chelsea back into this game. They can use this performance as a template now."

Christophe Talbotski:, external Will Jose bemoan refereeing decisions rather than applaud the best teenage English PL performance in a decade?

Gavin Cox:, external Mourinho quickly flicking through Ferguson's book of excuses that has been gathering dust for 18 months now.

James Gallagher:, external I wonder which game will be first on Match of the Day?

Chelsea in for a third? No...

Ramires gets in behind but his daisycutter of a shot goes just wide of the far post.

Daniel Tinkler:, external We want 6, we want 6, we want 6.

"Nacer Chadli's done brilliantly. He's combined so well with Harry Kane down that left-hand side. It's another super finish. Yes, there's a slight deflection, but I don't think the ball deviates too much. It's no more than Nacer Chadli deserves. He's been excellent."

"We want six," chant the Tottenham fans who, moments before the goal, were up in arms as Gary Cahill rather naughtily kicked Harry Kane in the base of the back when the ball was nowhere near him. The big Spurs striker has had the last laugh though...

It gets better for Spurs. They snuff out any thoughts of a Chelsea comeback when Harry Kane, yet again, plays in Nacer Chadli who buries a low shot beyond Thibaut Courtois.

Marcus Goodwillie:, external Fazio scares me every time he has the ball, spends too much time on it.

Declan Cairns:, external Chelsea have turned from a team that can't score to one that can't defend. Look like a Ferrari up front and a Micra at the back.

James Wall:, external Fabregas is a waste of space. Stick a striker on instead.

  13. Tottenham 4-2 Chelseapublished at 19:05 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

    Bradley Allen
Tottenham academy coach on BBC London 94.9

"Chelsea will keep going and keep chasing. If they think they can salvage a point, it could prove crucial for them in the title run-in."

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:05 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

A Tottenham switch at full-back - Ben Davies is on for Danny Rose.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

He's there when it matters. Hugo Lloris makes a super save to keep out Cesar Azpilicueta's low shot from inside the penalty area. Chelsea aren't giving this up without a fight.

Alex, Birmingham: If Chelsea do concede this title then I daresay they won't be making anymore slipping jokes!

Marlo in London: As interesting as this game has been so far, it pales in comparison to what excuses Jose will have at full time.

Duncan, Isleworth: In regards to Lord Sugar's comments...which three members of the losing team are going to be summoned back into the boardroom?!

    Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 live at White Hart Lane

"Nacer Chadli may not want to play on the left side for Tottenham, he may not want to play wide, but he does a wonderful job out there. He gives them natural width, which they've lacked at home. He wants to play centrally, but he seems a natural wide player, which Christian Eriksen doesn't."

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:01 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

Chelsea make another attacking change - sending on Mo Salah for Willian.
