Miles Kynigos:, external Hazard is really sparkling out there, if the other Chelsea players can start to contribute too Chelsea have a chance.

Jon Herbert:, external Simply one of those days. Spurs and Kane inspired; Cahill found wanting; Fabregas rare poor game; Matic likewise; Ivanovic the same.

Daniel Taktak:, external I'm worried that this (potential) result will incentivise Mourinho to dip into his pocket and spend big this transfer window.

Paul Fawcett:, external Coming up to 6am in Australia and getting up for the game was the best decision ever as a Spurs fan. Haven't won it yet though.

  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

Jose Mourinho is, once again, furious about a refereeing decision. After Christian Eriksen's shot inside the Chelsea penalty area is charged down by John Terry, the visitors sweep forward and a promising move ends with Eden Hazard going tumbling under Federico Fazio's challenge. No penalty, says referee Phil Dowd. Jose disagrees. The lack of any real protests from Hazard suggests the official got his decision right.

Harry Kane's on fire here - this time controlling the ball like it's on a piece of string and knocking it across the box but there's nobody on hand to add a finishing touch in front of an open goal.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

Andros Townsend, who scored Tottenham's third from the penalty spot, is replaced by Paulinho.

    Bradley Allen
Tottenham academy coach on BBC London 94.9

"What Spurs cannot continue to do is get caught up in the emotion of the game. They need to stay calm, put their foot on the ball, make good decisions and give themselves time to control the game. If Chelsea get the momentum, they'll believe they can score a third and a fourth goal here."

Chelsea are seeing plenty of the ball now. Nemanja Matic is trying to get forward more while Eden Hazard looks like a man on a mission. Tottenham need to settle things down.

Shohidur Rahman:, external Really surprised Mourinho didn't stick with the Mikel-Matic combination away from home. Chelsea have looked open today.

Tobias Xavier:, external Could Tottenham be slowly creeping their way into that Champions League spot? I think so.

Youcef Mehellou:, external Chelsea could do with Frank Lampard coming off the bench now.‏

"We talk about Chelsea not playing well, but if you give them a sniff, this is what they can do. What Federico Fazio is doing, I've no idea, but Hazard has punished the error. I think it's probably still asking too much of Chelsea."

Hang on. Let's not write off Chelsea just yet. It's an absolute howler from Federico Fazio who gives the ball away in midfield and Eden Hazard plays a neat one-two with Cesc Fabregas before lashing the ball home from just inside the area.

    Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 live at White Hart Lane

"That was the big question for Tottenham when they were 3-1 up at half-time: Do you sit back and soak up pressure, or do you keep going? That's exactly what Tottenham have done. They've got their reward because they've kept going after Chelsea. Harry Kane has given John Terry and particularly Gary Cahill a torrid time tonight."

The Chelsea supporters in White Hart Lane look like they've seen a ghost. Gary Cahill must feel something similar - all he's seen and felt of Harry Kane this evening is a flash of white shirt and an eerie feeling. He's been torn apart by the new darling of the Lane.

    Bradley Allen
Tottenham academy coach on BBC London 94.9

"If you're a Tottenham supporter, you'll know about their terrible record against Chelsea. This could be a game Spurs win 5-1, 6-1 or 7-1. Why not go for it? This is something that could happen once in your lifetime. If I was Harry Kane, I'd want the match ball."

  13. Postpublished at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

This is the first time Chelsea have conceded four in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho. Spurs have been fantastic.

Jen David:, external Beating Liverpool last season and then selling Lampard to score the winner today, I think Chelsea will help Man City to the title again.

John Dunthorne:, external Great that so many teams can give such a talented team as Chelsea a tough game in this league, different than Spain, Germany.

Bitter Blue:, external Costa is fouled in the build up to the Spurs penalty but somehow Phil Dowd sees it as a free-kick to Spurs.

    Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 live at White Hart Lane

"It's a marvellous turn away from Nemanja Matic. He passes into into the far corner. Wonderful play and a super finish from Harry Kane. It's another goal for a player who brings so much enthusiasm and willingness to this Tottenham side, along with his quality."

"Hi Mauricio, it's Carlo. About Harry..."

We jest, but Real Madrid and other giants of European football will be sitting up and noticing Harry Kane now he's tearing Chelsea apart. The young Englishman puts Spurs 4-1 (four-one!) up against Chelsea by spinning Nemanja Matic on the edge of the box and placing a shot across the keeper and into the bottom corner. Sheer brilliance.

Ramires has offered Chelsea something different since coming on for Oscar and he battles through a crowd of bodies before the ball runs loose for Eden Hazard who blazes a wild shot over the bar.

    Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 live at White Hart Lane

"I think Jose Mourinho needs to put Didier Drogba on to give support to Diego Costa. Twice in the half already, Costa's got clear in wide positions, and he's had no-one breaking into the box. I'd expect to see Drogba on within five minutes."

  19. Postpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2015

Harry Kane is giving Gary Cahill nightmares as he spins the England defender and takes him down the line. Cahill just doesn't look like he's got the strength or pace to cope.
