The crowd inside Nuevo Estadio de Ebebiyín have clapsticks aplenty and are making a heap of noise. First game jitters for anyone? Time to deliver...

Fans queue to be screened for Ebola

BBC Sport's Alex South in Ebebiyin: "What did I say about an orderly cue. As the Ebola screening means fans are only being allowed in a few at a time, frustration is building amongst supporters trying to get in the ground. As soon as there looked like there might be trouble the police in their riot gear moved in. I'm not sure it's calming the situation but it seems under control."

Now then, let's just clear one thing up as we did yesterday.

Today we see DR Congo - that's the Democratic Republic of Congo - take on Zambia. This is an all together different team to Congo, who drew 1-1 with Equatorial Guinea yesterday.

And by the way, don't confuse Equatorial Guinea with Guinea, who play Ivory Coast on Tuesday.

    Hope we cleared that up.

    Afcon 2015

BBC World's Alex South in Ebibeyin: Form an orderly cue! The fans are being very well behaved outside the Estadio de Ebebiyin. You may notice it's only women in this cue. For some reason the men are separated. Supporters are only being allowed in 10 at a time for Ebola checks.

Zambia recorded a stunning shock to lift the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations trophy, beating Ivory Coast 8-7 on penalties after a goalless final.

The team, known as Chipolopolo - which translates to the Bullets - are unbeaten in 11 AFCON matches as they drew all three group games in the 2013 tournament, sending them out.

Now then, first can I air some personal frustration?

Those of you who have seen the classic 1988 film Coming to America will know all about Eddie Murphy's mission to leave his throne as prince of Zamunda, to move to America in order to find love.

Now extensive AFCON research has seen us scour the continent and it turns out Zamunda was an entirely fictional place. This angered me.

Anyway, today we see two very real countries get our action underway and as you can see by the map, they neighbour one another, so it could be tasty...

Yes, who could forget Mwepu Ilunga racing from the wall for Zaire - now DR Congo - in 1974 to blast a Brazil free-kick clear before the referee had blown his whistle. In some way, I think we are all indebted to him and the Democratic Republic of Congo for such a wonderful moment.

Today, they take on Zambia - shock winners of this tournament in 2012 - at 15:00 GMT, before Tunisia against Cape Verde at 19:00 GMT.

Let's go for it, just like our man Mwepu...
