"No secrets here from Cambridge and Head Coach Richard Money. Seven players in the six-yard box for corners and Manchester United - perhaps understandably - struggling to deal with the sheer strength in numbers. Interesting tactic."

Adnan Januzaj, in from the cold tonight, looks sharp and is involved in a neat passing move which ends with Angel Di Maria skimming in a strike from 20 yards which Chris Dunn can only gather at the second attempt. Bit of a juggle from the Cambridge keeper but nobody sniffing in on it.

  3. Postpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

Not for the first time, Manchester United could do with Nemanja Vidic. He would have cleared that one out.

The first rule for Manchester United's defenders for the rest of this game must be 'do not concede a corner.' They look ragged.

    Martin Keown
BBC Sport at the Abbey Stadium

"It was a teasing ball in and a great chance for Cambridge United. Manchester United need someone who just goes to attack the ball to defend these corners better."

  5. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

Former Cambridge United striker Steve Claridge
    BBC Sport

"What a chance. Every time Cambridge get a set piece we know exactly what is going to happen, they just cluster upon David De Gea."

  6. CLOSE!published at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

Off the line! It does go in around the ears of David De Gea, a Cambridge head wins the corner and it's blocked by the shins of Cambridge defender Josh Coulson on the line. Unlucky, and Coulson then spins to head the loose ball onto the roof of the net.

    Was that their chance?

Dominic O'Caollai: Angel Di Maria will likely end up a great buy, but since a blistering start he has been terrible. Delivery from set pieces is awful.

James Lamming: Manchester United looking very sloppy at the moment. Hard to see which is the League Two club.

If you could sign one Manchester United player for a League Two club, who would you go for?

I'd have said Radamel Falcao before kick-off but he's been anonymous. Cambridge win another corner. You know where this is going...

"Marouane Fellaini looks completely lost. He just does not know how to play wide midfield in a diamond. He looks totally lost out there."

As soft a booking as you will ever see. Marouane Fellaini lays a hand on a Cambridge player's shirt and gets a booking - 80 yards from goal. That is very harsh.

I appreciate those of you texting in asking me to change the ball to a different colour but you've really over-estimated my clout I'm afraid. We're stuck with the mango for the rest of the season.

Joseph Holding: Angel Di Maria has looked like a pub team player so far. Some really awful touches on the ball.

Former Cambridge United striker Steve Claridge
    BBC Sport

"It is the sort of night when you have to make allowances - even the best players in the world can struggle in these conditions. You cannot have any complaints about the way Manchester United have applied themselves though. They have knocked the ball around nicely. If we were wondering whether they would come here with the right attitude, well they have been spot on so far."

  13. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

Cambridge winger Ryan Donaldson is putting himself in the shop window at the right time. A great opening quarter from the former Newcastle man as he skins £14m Daley Blind again. Looks like he could do a job a lot higher than League Two.

    (I'm not his agent.)

  14. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

    Steve Wilson
BBC Match of the Day commentator at the Abbey Stadium

"I wonder how long it's been since Angel Di Maria has played at a ground where he can kick the ball out of it?"

  15. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

As Claridge says, this is opening up a treat now. First attack down Manchester United's right sees Antonio Valencia cross in, Radamel Falcao is beaten to the header but the ball falls for Adnan Januzaj in the D. He doesn't lash at it, it's a controlled volley, but it lacks pace and Chris Dunn pounces on it. Moments later Angel Di Maria clears the stand from 30 yards.

    That's in the cow field!

  16. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

BBC Sport chief football writer Phil McNulty at the Abbey Stadium

"Cambridge United's fans looking for every ounce of encouragement they can get here - and it is fair to say the performance of Manchester United defender Phil Jones is giving it to them."

Former Cambridge United striker Steve Claridge
    BBC Sport

"The game is just starting to open up now. Cambridge have been trying to isolate Marcos Rojo by switching the play quickly to Tom Elliott. We've seen his pace and strength already. You do get the feeling that running with the ball and playing neat incisive passes is going to be the better way for Manchester United to play, rather than playing long diagonal passes."

  18. Postpublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

Where's the defence?! Phil Jones plays a shocking pass square, Ryan Donaldson gambles and cuts it out, and a better touch and he's in on goal. Jones recovers to clear but that was a calamitous pass from the England man.

  19. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

More good defending from Marcos Rojo as he disrupts Tom Elliott, the ball comes back in from the impressive Ryan Donaldson and Elliott skims a header away from goal. Bit of a 50p head there. A cracking tackle then involving Phil Jones - you could hear the thwack from Salford.

  20. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2015

Phil Jones on corners one side, Angel Di Maria from the other. Neither can beat the first defender. If I'd spent £60m on a man who couldn't put a corner in I'd demand a partial refund.

That was a rubbish ball in from Di Maria.
